The best outboard for my 2.6m tender is my trusty 9.8hp 2 stroke Tohatsu. Can’t buy them now but a good second hand one.

6hp even in 2 stroke is not enough for 2.6m. I know, that's what I got, but would consider smaller 4 stroke, and give up on plaining.
