Having said all that, Kaante is a movie that I will always cherish!

I am not a biggest bollywood deewana or anything but Sarkar was a very impressive remake of the godfather. Despite all the hype with Amitabh/Abhishek playing father son duo in such a legendary and revered movie, even a hollywood supremist would agree that they nailed most of the casting and performances so well! (including Abhishek!)

No one’s likely to see this, but I wanted to dispel a silly rumor that I’ve been seeing lately. Despite what some Bollywood fans would like to believe, the truth is that _Fear_ (the Mark Wahlberg movie from the 90s) and _Darr_ is NOT a remake or copy of _Darr,_ nor was it inspired it in any way. Yes, the titles mean the same thing, and both have a psycho lead character, but they are otherwise completely unrelated films. Bollywood song-and-dance was among the influences/inspirations for Baz Lurhmann to make _Moulin Rouge!,_ and a couple of Bollywood songs have famously been used in Hollywood films. However, while Hollywood remakes foreign films all the time-typically European or East Asian-to my knowledge, they’ve never remade, copied, or been directly inspired by a Bollywood film. The closest I can think of was the English-language official remake of _A Wednesday!,_ starring Ben Kingsley, but that was an entirely Sri Lankan production that just happened to be in English.

The main plot of Bhagam Bhag is copied straight from Vertigo and unfortunately I had no idea while watching vertigo and man bhagam bhag absolutely ruined vertigo for me. I can never forgive the makers of bhagam bhag for shamelessly coping. I usually don't care about this remakes or copies and all that but bhagam bhag is the only movie that just absolutely boils my blood.

First of all Priyadarshan was not the director of Phir hera pheri Neeraj vohra was the director.And second thing is Priyadarshan never remade foreign movies he always remade Malyalam movies in bollywood.

Fear isn’t a remake of Darr. The titles are translations of each other, and both movies have psychopathic lead characters, but the two films have nothing to do with each other. It’s just a myth spread by (let’s face it) Indian people who want to believe that Hollywood remade a Bollywood movie. But it didn’t.
