Coral Reef in Epcot at Disney World | Disney Dining Review

Today, we're having a date lunch in Epcot in front of the second largest aquarium in North America at Coral Reef Restaurant. We've never been here and have heard mixed reviews from it being dated to serving up great food. Which experience will we get? There's only one way to find out... Enjoy!

Two weeks ago, our adult family went to Calf grill, Le Cellier, Mama Melroses, and Coral Reef (1st time). Coral Reef was by far the best food and excellent service. What a happy surprise😊 Mama Melroses and Le Cellier (scallops) were shockingly bad! Terrible quality at mamas and the chef and waitstaff at Le Cellier were just incompetent

Definitely agree with you about Le Cellier. The last time we spent close to three hundred on my husband ,myself and my little girl and it was well below average. The meat was tough the dessert bad, salad was bad. I think sometimes people say what they think you want to hear when reviewing popular places. I have to say I am a bit confused by their review. They said it was good in the restaurant and trashed it at home🤷‍♀️. Glad to hear you had such a good experience. Will love to try this place one day.

We ate at Le Cellier last week, and it was great! Best steak that I've ever had, and the waiter (Drake) was terrific. The only weak link was the coffee, which was just awful, and the last thing that we had. Going to Coral Reef in two days, and I hope that it is half as good as Le Cellier.

I love the ambiance here and I've been lucky enough to always get seated right next to the aquarium. My big gripe with this restaurant is that it's supposed to be a seafood restaurant but there were only very few seafood options. I was expecting choices of crab, lobster and shrimp and none of that was available when I went. Shrimp is my very favorite and it wasn't even on the menu. They need to up their menu - Red Lobster has better choices.

We did go there for our candlelight package last Dec and it was packed and slooooooow! Definitely was not a pleasant experience. Agree its nothing special with many other dining options in Epcot and at WDW.

On our trip in February 2020, the atmosphere/service was what upset me a bit. It was a 4:00 reservation, and there was only one other table of people that I noticed, and they seated us at the very first table from the door. We were so far from the aquarium that my children couldn’t really see it, so we sat at an empty table for a short while just to watch the aquarium. I should’ve spoken up to move tables. We skimped on Festival of the Arts booths and snack credits to get to our reservation, and I regret that.

Bummer. Sometimes I wonder if the hosts at some restaurants try to seat people at less desirable tables first to see if the guests will say anything.

This review unfortunately is spot on. We had the same experience as well. Im not sure if its because the restaurant is tucked away or forgotten, but it was disappointing and the price just simply didnt match the quality of food. This review was very fair. It was a forgettable experience. There are much much better restaurants on property.

I enjoyed your video today. Very informative and a fantastic in-depth review. It's a shame the experience was pretty basic. WDW has some great restaurants but clearly has others that are simply there for the sake of being there, nothing more. Seems like the Coral Reef falls into that category. I'm sure I would enjoy it on a basic level, but I agree that for such a small selection and such a significant price point, not worth it because it's not unique enough. A refreshment/redesign might be on the horizon in the future hopefully.

coral reef 2019 for the candlelight package....meh...but we got a 2 top on the tank. We had a Ray with us for the night...best part of dinner. We talk about it to this day. Leslie.....I got pics if you wanna see it.

The only thing I remember about this restaurant is siting about we’re you are and knocking over glass of red wine covering my son who was about 14 at the time and horrified to be covered in alcohol 😂

Wow- this brings back some unfortunate memories. Such a limited menu and poor quality food. Best part of the restaurant was the giant tank that you can see for free from the Nemo ride.

Concept restaurant is nice. Food is blah. It puts me into seafood mood.. not good. Plus, restaurant so open spaced making it a loud noise feel. Staff was good. Probably not return unless menu change.

I'm sorry. Complaining about the pie tasting like it had been pre-made and sitting in a cooler - what did you expect? What restaurant doesn't have their pies made ahead of time? Did you expect them to make one when you ordered it? I don't understand that critique at all.

I’m not sure how much of a critique it was relative to all of the food overall since I said it was the best thing we ate, but yes - if it’s been sitting in a cooler for long enough to turn the crust soggy, that’s too long. Not saying that have to construct key lime pie that second, but there is a difference between making pie to order and making it days in advance.

Been there a few times. Nothing in the last 4-5 years. It is not worth it. Food average at best. Last time there it was 2.5 hours. For what they offer, your right, it should be better.
