I think it’s because It doesn’t awkwardly try to tell the movie all over again. It’s puts its own original twist on the story. Almost like an RPG.

Considering making a remix or cover of The Other World's theme, the one you hear first at 9:11 so I was looking for the theme online as a reference and found this instead. It is refreshing seeing people just reminisce on the games, as intended with this channel, bar the usual word I put in the titles. Also I have not touched this game since this run-- for the doll you have to swipe on your emulator a little bit aggressively, and the teacup you have to map the hotkey to something else like ALT or Backspace or something and kinda just mash it slightly. Any key really. Hope that clears up your guys' queries. )

i just played this game again in 2022 I can’t believe it came out so long ago. did anyone else get stuck on the part where you have to open the sack to get one of the ghost childrens eyes? for some reason that part always takes me so long😂 I absolutely love this game though, I really want to watch the movie now but It’s not on anything for free at the moment :(

Yeah sorry about that.. it's because of it being a speedrun, but I actually do plan a proper playthrough of it soon at some point(which will probably also just be one video) Especially since it's the only commentary-less one on YT. I mainly just wanted to show exactly how this game can be played speedrun wise, because certain things in the game can be skipped(such as not even needing to talk to Wybie in some instances to trigger certain events) and I keep meaning to update the description too. I originally was going to contain a link to two speedrunning guides I made on Pastebin. I'll get around to that eventually too.
