It seems like we have to use the strategy, outlined by David Barton, that the colonist used to defeat the British. Win the local battles (mayor, School Board, Selectman, Board of Education, etc) but still win the larger battles for Governor, Senator, Congressmen/woman, and President. Unless, of course, that 's too much like work and our families are just not worth it.

Concerning Benjamin Rush and the Blessing of ..Not Falling down thr stairs .... I believe that he had fallen down the stairs many times .... The stairs in the houses in the Colonies were very steep ( I know because I grew up in two of them in my youth ....in my pre teen years and as a young adult ...(Houses date back to pre civil war and revolutionary war days .... Houses small and stairs very very steep
