Awesome message! I’m so thankful for a message like this. We need to know our history no matter how good or bad it is. Most of all we need to know God and what His word says about how we should live and conduct ourselves. If we don’t know these things we can’t teach our children and grandchildren. Thank you Aledo Cornerstone for having David Barton share this message. I have faith God is always working in hearts that are willing to listen and obey. I pray my heart and everyone that has heard this message will have a willing heart.

The “stronghold” is IN THE MIND. It always appears more frightening than it is, it is like the “shadow of death” in psalm 23….it is only a shadow when you come against it. There is no strength in a lie when you stand in the TRUTH. People get “shaken” by living in lies, not by knowing and living the TRUTH. Take “fog” for example,,,i grew up in “pea soup” fog. Yes. You proceed CAREFULLY through it, but you DO continue through it, slowly, but firmly.

This guy has brought me so much hope and practical advisement on what to do to get involved locally. So thankful! Run to the roar! Have a local focus! Get involved on local committees, school boards, town halls. Understand the truths that Jesus taught and how those inform government and business (not always easy to think that way.) The Matthew principle for example! Thank you David!

You need to study Psalm 76, regarding prayer for Revival. Also, Psalm 85. That Psalm leads you into God’s view of what we must do. Ps 85:13 “Righteousness goes BEFORE Him and prepares the way for His steps.” Exactly what needs to happen. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says the same thing. The Lord is personal. When we are personal, we know the needs of another, and can pray with “real” care, which is how He answers our prayers….personally, because we speak with Him, personally. It goes slower, but we are not after quantity, but quality in our relationships. People are more likely to do what they have seen NEEDS to be done, when they feel personal responsibility toward the task. “SKIN IN THE GAME”. If we feel the need, we will do what we can. It pleases God when we don’t have to be coerced or compelled but we have been offered an opportunity to help, and enjoy the blessing of being part of what God calls a “good thing” by our own “heart’s choice”. “I desire mercy, not sacrifice…”. He desires our Hearts to choose to care, and not act out of a “mechanical” or expected response. We MUST offer ,(Philippians 2:16), and allow people, like Jesus does, to make their own choice. Give the Gospel. Plant a seed. We can not know what or how or when God will use your offering of the Gospel. “It IS THE POWER OF GOD, to those who are being saved.” Trust the Lord and do what you are given to do. Easy peasy. Then, just move on, to the next opportunity. Yes, be ready for the Enemy to get in your face. It never fails that He will try to stop you. Maybe call you a name or insult you in some way, anything to get you “off course”. But stay on course, and remind yourself what you came to do, or better, what God called you to do.

What David describes about the way the lion hunts has already been copied by successful human hunters. The humans who take the part of the female lions are called drivers because they drive the prey to the hunter - I've seen this in numerous African films. Which reminds me of 1 Peter 5:6-11 and James 4.

I have read several biographies of JQA. You have embellished his story. To call JQA Lincoln’s mentor is just not supported by history. Yes, he was a pall bearer, but I have read nothing other than that in any of the 3 biographies on JQA I have read.

“Revival” = FAITH. REVIVAL = ACTION. “FAITH WITHOUT WORKS, (EVIDENCE) IS DEAD.” A “REVIVAL” IS A “REVIVAL” WHEN “WORKS” (EVIDENCE) IS ALIVE….NO “WORKS = NO “REVIVAL. NO “EVIDENCE” = NO FAITH. SAME DEAL, ON A LARGER SCALE.

People need to use Holy Spirit discernment here - some good points and observations but many opinions that are mixed with falsehood (last 20 minutes or so). He also uses a lot of polling to substantiate his assertions as if polling settles everything; much doesn't line up with the Rightly Divided Word of God but is instead a religious viewpoint. !+!
