His nickname should be named Hobin Carroll. It's all worthy of a Hobbit about his incredibly 24-year-old bold appearance, a small build, running style & quickness, both strength of hitting & defense, sublime technique, and the all-knowing sharp‐eyed with dark side aura. There is no player who is more fearsome to watch as an opponent.

Corbin finally woke up this season. We never got the scoop on what was going on with him the first four months as he was hitting below the Mendoza line and was about to go down in history as a one-hit-wonder. Corbin's lucky these days the analytic geeks break seasons up into small segments instead of the entire season. Get two hits three games in a row and it's immediately induction into the Hall of Fame - despite batting .150. In other news, I hate the new age BS stats that don't even list a players batting average. Just gives indecipherable numbers relating to who knows what? How about average, home runs, RBIs? That's still the Triple Crown. Same with pitchers. Their won-lost records are rarely even mentioned. It's always "How many pitches thrown to the 8th hitter on a full moon night." BTW, Corbin now stands at .232/19/65. MEH. That said, the unmentioned stat in the Triple Crown line is Corbin scoring 102 runs so far. That's impressive to note - especially considering his struggles to get on base this season.

This comment is wrong in so many ways. One nobody says your going to the hall because you have 3 multi hit games. 2 Corbin Carrol is hitting over 260 with around 14 home runs since the all star break. But the absolute best hitting stat you can look at is ops. Not only does it show how often you get on base but also can show for how much power your hitting for as evidenced by Corbin Carrol 1.000+ ops this month. And lastly you want to look at pitchers win-loss record? It was pretty easily shown that it was a useless stat when Jacob Degrom Had THE BEST ERA IN BASEBALL and proceeded to have 9 wins and 9 losses. So you think you should punish Degrom because his offense can't hit?

@@brycestanton2703 You are clearly swallowing the analytic Kook-aid hook, line and five pound sinker. Glaringly revealed by the fact that you didn't even describe what OBS even means. Didn't even capitalize it as is the proper English for acronyms. Even beisball English. Or explain the 1.0 number (two subsequent Os were redundant.) Plus, in case you didn't know, baseball is played in a 162 game season that starts for most teams in early April. So trying to eliminate everything that happens in the long months before the July All-Star game as if it didn't occur is fanboy BS spin. The three straight two-hit games was obviously and exaggeration for effect, aka a common literary device. For all your acronym failures, you struggle with literary devices as well. I take it in your geekozoid fanboy world Denny McLlain's astounding 31 win season can't compare to Jacob Degrom's 9 wins and low ERA? Because hey, who said it's all about the Ws? If Cy Young's 511 career wins - a record that will never be close to being matched within 150 - has no meaning, then why name a pitcher's most cherish award after him? Go back to playing Nintendo baseball in your mother's basement.

@@dbacks2023- Corbin had a double secret probation unreported injury? That's a major violation of MLB rules. Baseball in bed with gambling and all. Big no no. Try again with the fanboy excuse.
