MLB should have the same rules as the NHL. Only the players on the field can fight. Any player leaving the bench, and especially the bullpen, is immediately fined. It's so stupid.

MLB needs to do what the NBA did. If you come off the bench or out of the dugout, you get ejected. No reason for 50 guys to come out and puff out their chests while they let themselves get held back.

Agree 100%. It looks ridiculous for all the players in the dugouts to come running to the infield. I COMPLETELY understand supporting your team and whatever conflict is taking place, but adding all the players from the bullpens is unecessary and will only intensify the altercation. Add the NBA rule to MLB.

The difference is, there’s not an equal numbers of players from both teams on the field in baseball like there is in basketball. So if a fight breaks out, you’d have 9 players from the fielding team versus a maximum of 4 players from the hitting team

This bench emptying and pitchers warm up area emptying onto the field is crazy. MLB should introduce a new rule stating: Anyone entering the field of play OTHER THAN the 9 defense, current base runners, batter, on deck batter and 2 offensive coaches shall automatically be EJECTED FROM THE GAME.

Lost what little respect I had for McNeil after he cried about a slid that was nothing bad. I hate when I see a runner slide 20 feet before 2nd base and not even try to breakup the double play. I do not want people to get hurst but Christ sakes play the game. That was a clean slide and if you have seen JOMBOY's recent videos on slides even McNeil has slid like Hoskins in a game. I don't know that just got under my skin and now I can not stand him.

The slide by the runner into second base was out but it also could be argued ejection because of the intent to injure by the runner. If I am playing second base against a player like this: catch the ball and immediately jump straight up in the air and come down where I was standing before the slide and land on the runner with knees the first time and cleats the second time. He will not do that dangerous slide again.
