"Corcovado [Quiet Nights]"

Rehearsal Night @Paul Cohen's 6.12.24. The bossa nova classic, "Corcovado [Quiet Nights]" by Antonio Carlos Jobim, is performed by Dale Fielder-alto sax, Jane Getz-piano, Bill Markus-bass, & Paul Cohen-drums. We are grateful to be paid to rehearse every week, usually Tuesdays for the last 18 years and counting! What I love about our rehearsals, is we are looking at most of the material for the first time or very infrequently. The jazz canon is so rich that some of these tunes will not cycle back for 2 or 3 months or more before being played again! Our rehearsals are now live-streamed and hosted by Jane Getz's boyfriend, radio personality Joe Crummey on Jane Getz's KZbin channel, "Laurel Tunes" every week where you can see the complete rehearsal and in-between-tune chatter and antics!
