Turn around years later and he’s one of the only genuine niggas. One of the only rappers I can really relate to. Good music is powerful, it never goes out of style. As long as the music is you, the right people will always gravitate to you, even if it takes some time for them to realize what they’re missing. @@michaelsaylor4903 @Michael Saylor "friends turn to enemies" this is the usual direction of the hood as well as the relations of those people that reside in turmoil, itd always been like this. not all bars have to be heavy in entendres and references. although if u wanna get deep with it, "become distant memories" not only means how drastic the change of the relationship is, but when this happens we all know what goes on, people start beefing and then they resort to extreme violence, and then killings. what started off as "friendships" quite literally become caskets and "distant memories" to their loved ones. maybe its a reach but intentional or not, the artistic nature of this line alone holds depth and that was the point i was making. all love tho man lets keep it real💯🖤

I ain’t gonna hold you. I’ve never really been a fan of cordae, just always dabbled. I really just enjoyed the song “RNP”, mostly because Paak was on it. As time went on, I would peep his new music every now and then, but nothing stuck. Yeah it was good, but never had that “wow” factor im searching for in music. I then came across this song, and I figured give it a shot… HOLY FUCK AM I AMAZED!? This is by far (in my humble opinion) Cordae’s best body of work: it’s raw, it’s unfiltered, it’s pure, and it’s down right incredible. From the flow, to word choice, to the superb storytelling, this is one for the masses. This is the song that to the public gets criticized because he’s speaking truth, but to the true hip hop fans will be forever on repeat. Amazing work on this Cordae, this deserves every award and more. Even if this never gets a plaque or anything like that, it’s going to go down as one of your greatest in your discography 100%
