@@ScottHD Someone has to actually test products under real world conditions, exploring all aspects of usage, while stripping away the marketing BS. Consumer Reports had that rep, now Project Farm, Gamers Nexus (for PC hardware) and others carry the banner. People crave that truth, before they spend hard earned money. I think you're doing that effort justice! Testing is truth. Btw I know several other detailers in Los Angeles that watch your product testing. It's really useful.

Been detailing for 25 year’s and owned my own detail business for 13 years. I use a dewalt corded rotary for heavy cut or deep scratches. I use my Bigfoot 15 for paint correction/Polishing. And I use my dewalt cordless from the video for finish work. I have two batteries with a fast charger. I can do any size car with two batteries. By the time one battery runs out… the next is charged. Takes about 30 minutes for a full charge on fast charger. Forgot the size battery. I didn’t want a heavy one. I think it’s the middle size one. Good weight distribution. I can even do some mild polishing with the dewalt. I find myself using it a lot! Just love the no cord. Nice to not have a cord over my shoulder dirtying my shirt! Hope this helps some people. Guys want the best all in one polish and wax? Rupes 1 step.

Great in depth video Scott. Been polishing for 34 years and switched to cordless about 2 years ago. Retired 28 corded polishers. Using 9 cordless polishers now. Not just polishers, all led lighting, vacuums, water sprayers, fans, blowers for drying are cordless. Not having a cord over the shoulder and having to always adjust it, is huge. Also for things like lighting, vacuums, fans, etc, no worries about tripping over the cord, especially when clients drop by to see their vehicles. I find it makes work flow smoother. I find using the manufacturer’s fast chargers are best. And having at least 2 of every charger is the way to go. Plus several of each battery. The DeWalt yellow fast charger, charges their 5Ah battery in about 50 minutes. Was just wondering why no cordless rotary polishers were tested?
@ScottHD3 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Definitely looking into the rotary ones for a future test but the reason I hadn't tested those yet is because there are SO many of them...I would have to limit it to about 10 or so. Knowing how this KZbin thing works, the 10 I would get would end up with comments like "why didn't you test xxx brand" no matter what I did. With the cordless orbital ones I literally bought all of the available options so that comment couldn't happen

I haven't used a buffer/polisher in a Long time, I have one of those super heavy duty ones. I do worry about the heat on the Ryobi, but I haven't used it yet. Since I'm not used to a small polisher, I'm thinking that maybe I can use the D Handle. I can always return it, but with the low vibration, I'm going to give it a try.
