We will be reviewing those at some point. We need to review the corded DA and Rotary first. Thanks for checking out our newest video!

Hi Guys the Mirka is my favourite it just needs a trigger lock and the backing plate looks to be a J Hook which is a traditional rotary backing plate type of velcro. I tested their Pro Iridium 1250 product for the company. It's easily the best polish product Mirka has ever made. It''s a sand mark removal and finish polish in one. the dewalt cordless rotary is very good indeed, though the one sold here starts at 800 rpm which is a tad high. Would prefer 350-500 rpm myself. One of my students did a three day course on rotary with me and he bought the dewalt. I was very impressed with it and we got great results during the training inc using Feynlab A50 on wool on dark blue paint and left zero marring, swirls or holograms and a rich finish. I'm using a Metabo 1500 watt corded rotary these days which is very ergonomic, light at 2 kg so fractionally heavier than the dewalt at 1.9kg but I love it besides it's noise level. Know what your saying about heavier rotaries having some benefits. I started decades ago with the makita rotary and a SA7000C sander/polisher at 4 kg so been there. Also like a few of the proxxon brand tools - got a 2 inch rotary instead of the ibrid and they now have an 11 mm orbit 1-2 inch DA

Totally agree with you on the trigger lock, we will be doing a follow up video with some of the good and the bad that we have discovered after having more working time with the Mirka! Thanks for watching Matt!

@@glossuniversity6376 your welcome - love what your doing with GU. I hope to get my hands on a dynabrade DB8 but my only dissappointment so far with what I've seen is the lack of a random orbit mode and the single orbit size. dual mode machines that exist all have a problem - the random mode has a pad brake and won't rotate and oscillate properly until speed 3 to 3 1/2 and the orbit size for random is too small for correcting but finishing it would be good. that's what my UFO polisher concept would fix if it could ever be made. might be too complicated and not viable to make

Good video guys. Several excellent tools. The PXE is such a nice, versatile tool. A must have, along with the accessories from APS. - I also have the DeWalt DA version. It surprised me in that I thought it would be heavy. It just looks heavy. I found it was very comparable to the first gen Griot's BOSS 15. VERY comparable. I think Shinemate has a slew of small cordless polishers now.
@glossuniversity637617 күн бұрын
Although we did not review it in this video, the look of the DeWalt DA is a bit deceiving. It almost looks top heavy, but it very balanced and smooth in operation no question. Thanks for watching!

We have a follow up video that we are doing where we have the Milwaukee, makita, and dewalt rotary tools, as well another with the new Rupes, New Flex, and the adapter for using the new flex batteries with the older tools. We’ll also be diving farther into a more detailed review of the Ryobi, and other tools with various sized batteries etc. The cordless Milwaukee and Dewalt have been in the limelight for some time but Makita has a cordless that will be interesting to test since they have always had a solid corded machine.

DYI might change the game with battery polishers with there new upcoming battery centered on top of polisher for better balance and ease of use.

We are looking forward to reviewing those tools later in the year. Thank you for watching!

Crazy how Yvan is so good at selling to social media. Go pick up some flex tools, especially the 24v gear and rotary. Get something that’s not Chinese manufactured.
@seabreezeof9 күн бұрын
@@Rob_Cleans_Cars You do know when folks make assumptions. FYI I do own Flex but that doesn't change the fact that a battery centered on top of polisher for better balance and ease of use may benefit the whole industry that manufactures Gear & Rotary polishers.

The new flex machines are the true top tier. Everyone keeps talking about DIY’s Chinese machines which are the same as countless machines out there. What no one is talking about is the new cordless polishers they’ll have wont be $300 with a battery. Once you have to invest in those you might as well invest in a quality system like Flex or another brand.
@glossuniversity63766 күн бұрын
The adapter to use the new flex batteries with the old Flex cordless tools works incredibly well and have a ton of power as well.
@1kontrabida15 күн бұрын
Ive tried and have most of the polishers on the table and i find the milwaukee to be on top based on ease of use and its torque on low rpms, one discovery ive been going nuts about which is not in the line and also which replaced my Mirka is the 3 dual action fine sander from Milwaukee but u have to change the backing plate which u can get from yetsy, u can use a 3 inch or 2 inch backing plate is smooth and have ton of power for small machine.2531-20 is the part number.

We are loving the Milwaukee, super balanced and plenty of power! Thank you for the feedback on this and thanks for watching!

Thanks for the video. Shinemate EB351 21 is much much stronger, smoother, and just better than everything you have there. Totally on a different league of its own. Also Shinemate eb210 is an exceptionally good mini polisher, needed to be there. You should’ve at least waited to include the Rupes and the new Flex machines too. I really dislike the cordless Rupes for how underpowered they are but I think they should be included in a video like this. (Based on your title)
@glossuniversity637613 күн бұрын
Appreciate the feedback and we will review the tools you mentioned at some point we also want to review the new Rupes tool as well. Our process has been slow because we are not a sponsored channel and we have been buying different tools over time for our students to have access to when we hold our group trainings. Hopefully the collection is complete by the end of 2025! Be on the look out for more videos!

I was interested in this video when it popped up with the FlexPXE80 in your thumbnail. I have found it to be very underpowered since the moment I bought it and you can use 3” rotary with the attachments it comes with so sometimes I wonder if it’s user error on my part when I see guys like you that love it. I can’t get it to stop stalling without looking what seems like just looking at it unless it’s on speed 4 at all times.
@glossuniversity637616 күн бұрын
Depending on shapes of body panels, many DA polishers can and will stall. There are some techniques that use can you by tilting the polisher on an angle! Practice tilting it towards a 2 o'clock position and try pushing down a bit. Good luck and thanks for watching!!

Why even set a $1000 limit? That's already insane money for a polisher? Fact is almost all cordless options are in the $500-$800 range depending on accessories. Anybody who cares about money at all is buying corded.

Where is the Shinemate machines ? Especially the Shinemate 21 mm. Really it’s the best out of all you have present. All the power of Milwaukee, but the smoother, less vibrating tool , then everything else you have present and I have tried everything you have here but the Mirka, but he’s right on the money with the Flex as well.

With the shape of the Ryobi do you feel its any better balanced than the Milwaukee or DeWalt? My biggest hang up on cordless tools has been the tail weight as well as the eventual loud ratteling you get as the battery connection begins to loosen over time. Have you experienced this with your battery powered tools?
@glossuniversity637617 күн бұрын
The Ryobi has a comfortable feel to it and is much lighter compared to the other full size tools reviewed in this video. Milwaukee's DA polisher seems to be the most balanced tool as far as how the top (headstock) and the bottom (battery) feel. Makes its comfortable and more balanced for longer paint correction cycles.
@jamesbrowne682817 күн бұрын
@glossuniversity6376 Thanks for the reply. I have an older Shinemate cordless D/A that I use but it's not well balanced but does come in handy when you want to spot something in and not have to worry about cords touching and area. I also had the Adam's Swirl Killer. It's the most compact cordless I've used and has good balance I think due to how compact it is. Unfortunately the batteries do not last well and I cannot get replacement batteries and Admas has since stopped selling or supporting it. The torque was also excellent. Only complaint was the way you had to change the speed was awkward and had three preset speeds.
