Thanks man for the compliment. I cannot comment on the other guitars, but this one is quite special. Listen with your ears; in some ways the guitar sounds better than guitars twice its price.

It is very comfortable and perfectly set up. With the 640 mm. scale even the most challenging stretches become easier to play. No adjustments necessary as I took it out of its case.

I like the Torres sound over the Hauser really. It may not be as broad tonally, but the range it is in it just is so balanced and sings so beautifully. The basses have the hollow growl and the mids and trebles so sweet

I've played a few cheap (as in well under $1000) Torres knock-offs and was impressed w/the sound and feel over the larger traditional designs; that's why I know I have to own this guitar.

Is that the same guitar you're playing on the Cordoba videos, which are beautiful btw, or is it another guitar in the same series? I'm just curious to know how consistent the guitars in the series are.

Before I came here, I was listening to some latticed guitars comparison videos. Hearing the clear but mighty sound of this guitar, I felt instantly refreshed. Using an analogy, it’s like a traveler who walked under the bright sun for hours, and someone offered him a cup of thick chocolate. Rich as it is, the traveler found it hard to swallow. Then the stranger offered him a glass of sparkling water, and that is how I felt the difference! I am pretty sure that is how Mr. Torres felt about the “modern guitars”.
@niceguitar6144 Жыл бұрын
Well written but I wouldn’t be so sure how Torres felt about modern guitars. He never had the great displeasure of hearing a lattice top, or a double top guitar.

@rufinosanchez270310 жыл бұрын
Me respondo yo mismo: El que toca es el maestro Tavi Jinariu. Debo decir que es una excelente versión. Este intérprete es un verdadero maestro....Felicitaciones...

Hey amigo, just a couple of things if you don’t mind. This is not a Torres, it’s a really poor imitation of a Torres. The price is inflated by at least $1500 because it’s made in the United States and not in China.

@fingerhorn49 жыл бұрын
That is a lovely sound with great sustain. Two things: I wonder whether the microphone or recording is creating more sustain than the instrument is actually delivering, and also the B string sounds sharp in the upper frets. I don't know whether this is just a tuning problem or whether the string/frets are "out" above the fifth fret? Any Torres owners care to comment?
@cookiezztest77028 жыл бұрын
Microphones don't create sustain.
@fingerhorn48 жыл бұрын
cookie zztest No but compression/expansion can.
@cookiezztest77028 жыл бұрын
A bit, but no amount of compression will sustain a note that is already dying on the instrument. If there was that much compression on the recording, you would recognize it immediately because it would sound squashed and lack dynamics.
@niceguitar6144 Жыл бұрын
Let me comment on your hearing: basically, it’s excellent. This guitar may look pretty, and it may even have relatively decent sound, but it is nothing like a Torres guitar, nothing at all. Also, you are right; the guitar clearly has intonation issues. I realize this sounds arrogant, but it is also the truth: all the people who go gaga over this guitar simply don’t know any better, or don’t basis for comparison.

Man, I really hate to trash the guitar, and it’s not terrible, but how this resembles anything Antonio Torres ever made remains a mystery to me. Let me tell you how: to put it more simply, it does not in anyway sound like anything Torres ever made. It also sounds like it has an intonation issue. Basically, it is not an awful guitar, but don’t mistake it with anything remotely Torres like.
