You have to start learn by yourself and side by side practice code you have learn. Once u finished basics of any programming language , start builudung smaller apications. During this you will learn lot. Basically mistakes teaches us lot than just practicing the code. Most important is u must be regular in what u are doing. To start i think these things are enough. Once you start, you will find your way.

don't do it worth if you are in for like machine learning else python is not helpful for your skill there was one project on photogrammetry we were doing and the hard part was grid analysis now in python there is a literal library built for that only apply but in another language you have to write a lot so better taking something that worth your time to improve your skill
