Core Destruction 4 - Pegasus vs Leviathans (Marble Race)

Welcome to Vortex League - six teams facing off against each other in a marble race core destruction battle to take the others down.
Each team has its own weapon loadout and home stadium, with each team playing each other home and away. Match winners walk away with 3 points, the losers get zero.

Weapon Info
Clusters are slow moving, but break into bomblets when they hit something, including enemy weapons.
Ricochets fire 2 projectiles at a time, and bounce around until they hit something, or a set amount of time has expired.
Rockets are fired rapidly, but take time to build up speed using their thrusters. Not very accurate.
Saws can drill through an opponent’s shield and reach the cannon even if the shield is previously unbreached.
Spread shot fires accurately but in a spread of 5 separate shots.
Sticky bombs attach themselves to the opponent’s shields. After a set amount of time, they will explode. If they are hit before they explode, they misfire and deal zero damage.
Swarms fire rapidly but inaccurately, but home in towards the enemy’s cannon.
Healer bot
Healer bot duration is determined by the marble value using a non-linear formula.
Time in seconds = 1 + 0.5555556 * LogBase2( marbleValue ) + 0.038 * marbleValue

A good showing from both teams! Both Leviathans and Pegasus will be major players this season, due to their optimized kits. It’s really a question of how rockets perform over swarm in the rng arena. Looking forward to seeing more from both my favorite teams! Go Pegasus! Go Leviathans!

I just found this and it reminds me of the video game Wipeout Edit: This was the first one I watched and I love it. There were a few times where I was like, "That's it, it's over" but it kept going. Seems pretty balanced and was a blast to watch. I like the shield regenerators :)

I've been liking these, but I think the weapon marble overflow needs to be reworked, the way it is as soon as one side gets a big enough number to get marbles overflowing the queue that side will have a big advantage as the marbles on their side keep getting bigger. Maybe having the overflows go to the other side, but that might make the battle too long, either way keep up the good work!

the scaling on the healing feels a bit overtuned, 100points can do a lot on any weapon. but in terms of healing it does so much less that it feels like a loss

Yeah it was kinda weird to see how useless it felt. Had any one of those big numbers gone into a weapon, I'm sure the outcome would have been different.

Yeah, I noticed that and was curious. A 3 ball seems to give 3 seconds, but a 500 ball gives 25 seconds. Is 25s the cap?

*-- Weapons guide --* *Saws* _(Pegasus primary, Leviathans secondary)_ - Travels in a straight line with moderate speed. Upon impact with an opposing shield, it slows to a crawl and chews through shields continuously for a few seconds. *Swarms* _(Leviathans primary)_ - Targets the opposing core and adjusts course accordingly with increasing speed. Causes minor AOE damage to shields on impact with any surface. *Ricochets* _(Pegasus secondary, Leviathans tertiary)_ - Fired in parallel groups of two. Travels quickly in a straight line and causes shield damage on impact. If it hits a wall instead of an opponent's shield, it will reflect off of the wall and continue to travel. *Rockets* _(Pegasus tertiary)_ - Travels in an erratically-curving path with increasing speed. Causes minor AOE damage to shields on impact with any surface. All projectiles can be removed from play instantly when colliding with an opposing projectile unless otherwise specified.

If it is trackable, I would be interested in a breakdown of ammo stolen/defected (I''ll define this as being used/upgraded on the opposing side to the prevIous update/use). Would be an interesting track of luck (extra uses received)

Need some kind of agitator on the queue to prevent iasues like 10:15, also this is more subjective but i feel weapon balance is a bit off, the purple/pink spiky one seems way too destructive in comparison to others

It kinda makes me sad each cannon can only queue 500 of a weapon at any time--i understand why this was necessary, but if you could find a way to bypass this without making the fight boring, it would be much appreciated.

They have the fastest fire rate (rounds per second) of all the weapons. More useful with big numbers.

Watching the sawblades feels just awful. Like there were points there that discarding the rest of a large sawblade number would have been the best way to make the game proceed, and better for the Leviathans if the fired anything they had queued up behind.
