Great podcast as always. I'm a vet from over the pond, when i first did military training in the Army, instructors would beast you in pt, also yell and call you whatever they felt and wanted too, if you Fu@#ed up your rooms in cleaning, uniforms, bed blocks, they would trash your room, through your kit out windows of barrack block, then every half hour dress parades, including mess tin order, ie,...naked outside with just mess tins to cover your junk. I remember an instructor not happy with my answer to a question punched me in the chest. After i did my time i left the army, but loved it and missed it. I joined law enforcement which was a easy training. Whilst in i rejoined military reserves as an ISR soldier. I was shocked during the training to hear instructors could not rant, swear and call you out??? Incase they offended recruits, and i was shocked to find beds had quilts on them ffs...no more bed blocks...anyway i told these new recruits you got it easy, recruits today get treated like snowflakes...shocking...military going woke...

I drive about four hours a day and work 9-10 hours. Listening to this pod cast makes it so much better. I struggle like most Americans. I’m a single father of two.
