Didn't anticipate the Phenom pulling ahead in Black Mesa, especially considering that it's still DX9 IIRC.

Perhaps the better memory controller of the Phenom helps. Core i3 Clarkdale is rather bad in memory performance, especially latency. Also BM seems to benefit from > 2 cores.

This comparison was made for shows what kind of difference? I would say: Core i3 is newer than the Phenom II X3. They don't have anything in common in my opinion

You can always find something to compare. Here for example I was curious how tripple-core would act in games vs 2C/4T. Another perspective is so see how performance increased in the same price bracket (around $120) from 1/2009 (Phenom launch) to 1/2010 (i3 launch).

Gpu percentage remains every time low, cause the cpu bottleneck. Anyway I was expecting to see cpu usage around 100 percent isn't it? Why the core i3 stays around 40-50 percent and the gpu around the 20-30 percent? Waht kind of limiting factor has happens?

It is difficult to tell what exactly is the bottleneck and how it affects the CPU usage. i3 at 50% could mean the two physical cores are used fully and the HT cores are not used at all. With native quad core the load figures could be different. Also another possibility is bottleneck by memory access (the i3 Clarkdale is not very good in this department), so it could explain the lower CPU load.

x3 difference in power consumption of processors of course a lot That's why the i3 wins

To be fair - the i3-530 is also one year newer and 32 nm (the CPU cores).
