I have a doubt, treemap and treeset are the only classes which allows homogeneous element as sorting requires homogeneous data but when it come to sortedset which also has element sorted then how heterogeneous element are sorted in this case.
@drinkeatandthink5 жыл бұрын
SortedSet is an interface while treemap and treeset(implementaation class of sortedset interface) are classes... So you can make an object of classes only...

Sir, I have 1 question regarding the list.remove(int index) ? If the list has all integer values, then what will happen,? when we call remove method by index parameter. Ex. If List contain student objects and we call remove method it removes the object from given index, what happens in the following example? List list = new ArrayList(); and Values are 4,6,4,3,6,2,8 respectivly if i call list.remove(4) the what will happened?
@MrSahilkaura6 жыл бұрын
Pravin Dobe list.remove(4) is an exact match of list.remove(int index), so it will be called. If you want to call list.remove(Object) do the following: list.remove((Integer)4).

Sir, if we add in Arraylist to make it generic, then will it allow only string objects? If yes, then it will become homogenous? Kindly clear the doubt...Apart from this, it is the best tutorial I've ever watched.

Hello Shreya. Plz contact our online team durgasoftonlinetraining@gmail.com or call us on this number +918885252627, 7207212427/28
@sanasyogesh14 жыл бұрын
To Shreya - But No need to declare the size at initial level. Its a flexible. If you want homogeneous you can get it. If you don't want homogeneous then you will get it. But in case of Array its mandatory to collect homogeneous objects. This is a part of Generics.
@mohamedtaha3913 жыл бұрын
ArrayList() l=new ArrayList() ; this is example of generics collections to allow only homogenous objects ..... You are right
@ramakrushnaghadei4507 Жыл бұрын
yes, you are correct here we are specifying the Generic Type but if we use List then and then if we try to sort it using Collections.sort() then it will not work as Object does not implement Comparable interface so those types which defines comparable interface will go for Collection.sort() otherwise compilation error: incompatible type

Hi Sir. You are doing l.add(10). Does arraylist allow primitives.
@falseys7 жыл бұрын
Hey, Collections concept deals with only objects, I.add(10) - internally the primitive is wrapped to an Integer object also known as autoboxing.
@LockendraKumarSahu7 жыл бұрын
Introduced this functionality in 1.5 where all primitives auto box and unbox with wrapper classes
