I liked your lesson, it provides great delay of your relaxed hands and arms to increase lag and speed. The hands and wrist provide natural whip through impact, I know I have to get to the left foot, but rotating the core delays, like you say, the shoulders, arms and hands in a very natural way. Thank you.

really good video and info, the correct golf action is not instinctive, we all start by hacking at it. i've been getting better at doing a core driven swing after 40 + years and when it's on things are good. the statement on the screen about someone hitting a ton of balls and not get it right is so true and i can attest to that after many years and buckets. thnx for the help.

very insightful... thanks a bunch. your golf swing is so relax and that should be how we play realistically on the golf course and enjoy the game. Not hopelessly trying to be Rory or Jason as these tour pro were trained since puberty LOL

Wow. I have never heard of golf swing explained this way. Completely changes how I think about the swing. I didn’t realize the extent my right arm (hit) was ruining my swing and that mentality. Love the left arm take away and momentum thought drills and taking my brain 🧠 off of the contact. Thanks !!! Was a 3 handicap at age 20. But go lost in bad instruction over the years...

I was taught to start the backswing with shoulder rotation that moves the core and legs to tightly coil the club at a 90 degree shoulder, 45 degree hip and 22 1/2 degree knee rotation to the top of the swing arc and perform the downswing by turning the legs and hips which power shoulders and arms to the finish. It works well when performed correctly but sometimes I get a disconnect in the backswing between the shoulders and arms where I lose the spring like effect to uncoil the backswing.
@EfilGolfChannel
@EfilGolfChannel 3 жыл бұрын
It only works if you started golf young, for adults the fast twitch muscles will be too tense. The disconnection is what we are addressing. Or for some will be a top bounce back downswing.

i did not realize that the body above the ribs is not contributing power, but it does make sense. i recently came to understand that the slight hip shift allows the club to drop inside and close to the body. thank you.
@EfilGolfChannel
@EfilGolfChannel 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your support! The body areas above rib cage supports for energy absorption, and energy release,we also call it the correct golf structure. When you swing, they cannot give you more “power”. We only teach people how to swing through he ball, we don’t teach hitting the ball

This so good, I was looking for this, a shame that this is not explained better in golf. Also in the backswing the core is turning the shoulders. You also can keep the head way more quiet in stead of pulling and jerking the shoulders around. Also Mike Austin was a big promoter of this way of swinging and still holds a record. Your insight is so good, thanks!

it's almost like the golf swing is not what we think it is, it's deceiving. it looks like arms and hands swinging and hitting at the ball but now i've found how important the body pivot is. i'm trying to get it right, always working on it.

Great video well explained, your downswing looks like that you laterally shift all your weight into your rigtside before you swing down. Wouldnt this hit down steep on the ball? Would you use this video for your driver and woods also?
@EfilGolfChannel
@EfilGolfChannel 4 жыл бұрын
1. Do you mean I have my lower body weight shift to left and my upper body turn down(in you word right side) 2. No it wouldn’t be too steep, the golf swing isn’t vertical, that’s how all pros swing. 3 yes all clubs, driver has a different setup when addressing the ball. Check out all our videos. You will find a lot of interesting but correct information, thank you for support!

Wow...This has been my problem over the years, meaning not enough rotation even I may have shifted weight to the leading side. I was thinking shifting weight first is a must. Yes, absolutely, but it is not enough. I need to rotate my core as well. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

I often think to be consistent in golf you have to think like a robot. It does not know the arms, the swing and impact. Just needs the energy. If you want a long drive, just increase the energy. Your lessons are great! Now we can learn how to find that energy and let it works for us

The correct sequence is to rotate the span to the open position (about 60 degrees) first and then rotate the core, or after the weight transferred (at this time the span is relatively square, probably in the sit down position) and then the core starts to rotate,Then the span and core continue to spin until open. Which sequence is correct? Thank you, Coach.🤔

60 degree but we like to think it’s 45degree but very hard to measure to be exact. The second thing you are talking about it’s call sliding: not good

You are absolutely correct.Most pple over work the lower body.watch any pros sholders. they are powering g the swing .the lower body is reacting almost subconsciously.Thats How that can stay centered over the ball.

_"If you feel it from your chest, shoulders, and back, you are pushing and pulling the body. It doesn't work for the golf swing."_ What does it matter that it's "pushing and pulling"? That _is_ essentially rotation, whether done with the large muscles surrounding the shoulder area, or the smaller, lower obliques, that you seem to advocate. Those large shoulder muscles are very much part of the core, as they attach to the sternum, ribs, clavicle, etc. They attach to the arms as well, creating the perfect unit to rotate; AND, it's at the top of the coil. Why would you engage a coil in the middle? You turn it from the top, then just release it. It will automatically release from the ground up. Hips will perform quite well without thought.

@@EfilGolfChannel You missed "...creating the perfect unit to rotate;...", with the emphasis on *unit.* I said nothing about moving scapula or any part of the shoulder area separately from the core (rib cage). I'm saying the large upper torso muscles move (rotate) the core _and_ connect the arms to the core most efficiently and powerfully when done correctly. And no, there is no one I'm familiar with who does what I'm talking about. Look up "The Master Key" by Noel Thomas to _begin_ an understanding; primarily his treatment of the lead arm/shoulder.

Watch my channel, I have address your questions many times in my channel. Yes having muscles is great. However most people don’t know how to use it. Pros do but they don’t know how to explain. That’s why you’re confused. Watch all my videos. Thank you!
