Cool, !00% agree. All the new characters can be played numerous ways e.g. Crew as NPCs, Gangers as Crew etc. I like the Outer Rim / Firefly feel of core space vs Gangers and Purge(Borg), not so keen on First Born. Like you I have my own campaigns going. However I backed the add-ons from first Born e.g. the new Ships of Disrepute, Reference Cards, Utility Dashboards, Patrol Class Shuttle and Trading Post 5, al of which add so much to my existing CS (have most of it except a few crews and some expansions.

Yep. My favorite part about the game is how malable it is. Play it as it is in the box, create your own scenarios, or even use the components for other game systems. Just a huge box of awesome. Don't forget Maladum is coming here soon too😁

@@thegimpygamer I had been toying with using the character boards for other dungeon crawls and then they announce Maladum. Issue is I have League of Dungeoneers and new the edition coming , also Lasting Tales both of which are great games and their campaign stories are easy to use with either system, not sure which I will choose as my goto dungeon crawl. Maladum may be arriving too late and money is getting very tight.

@starman My God you aren't kidding. This year has been brutal with inflation. I used to be able to buy a KS or 2 without worry and now I worry about spending anything. I've let a lot of good looking games pass me by because I just couldn't justify the cost. Maladum probably won't be one I let pass by though.

@@thegimpygamer Yep while the politicians divide us the big corps are just draining us dry, no coincidence. This next year will be family first and not much left for hobbies, then again I have enough games to keep me going for a decade, Point Blank arrived , due in next 6months WaW85 Blood and Fury, Purple Haze and 6 Siege all paid for some time ago.

Heya I follow you on Instagram!. Couple of questions: Can you randomize missions? I saw the map creator on their site but wasnt sure about a mission creator One last question. I have both starter sets. Can I just read one rulebook or do I need to read both rulebooks. Or is there one giant rulebook online?

Each game/expansion comes with missions. More in the core set of course than in the smaller expansions. You can play them as a campaign as BattleSystems has set out or you can play them how you like. I personally create my own. It's very user friendly in how you play it. Read the First Born rulebook and you're fine. Both have everything you need, but the FB one is the more update one. I would also look into the reference cards. They cover every symbol in the game and greatly save time looking them up in the rulebook.
