Hi Stacey, I hope you're OK xx ❣ Love this video tutorial/podcast on Spinning Art Yarn for Weaving. I love the way you explain everything and your reasoning behind it. I love the looped mohair that you use as your core I could see the loops peeping out. The finished yarn looks Beautiful and Amazing. Can't wait to see your finished Fabric. I know that'll be Beautiful and Amazing as well. Hope you've had a good weekend. Happy Spinning and Weaving Take care and stay safe. Love Jen xxxx 💖 🐑🐑❣❤❣

Love this video! Some gorgeous yarn. The content is calm, professional and no annoyingly loud, appropriated music-just a pretty voice.

So glad you're back, and hoping that Real Estate is sustaining your soul as well as your wallet. Thank you for making these videos. So, if you're not religious about following a pattern, you can certainly incorporate these textured, sometimes bulky art yarns into knitting. If it's not against-the-skin soft, you need to take care where to put it. Around the middle or bottom part of the increases in a yoke sweater. Trim around a collar, button band, or bottom or ends of a shawl. At any height of a knitted skirt. Or anywhere you feel like in a truly freeform piece. Use purls and slip w yarn in front to show off juicy bits.

Question - do you HAVE to spin onto a core yarn always or can you spin without a yarn grabbing it? Or starting with a core and then once the yarn is wrapping decide not to use it anymore?
@UrbanGypZ10 ай бұрын
You can spin the art bay like a regular single ply yarn (like when you are making singles from smooth roving)

Is is easier to spin from a fluffy batt than a rolag? I am still trying to work out how to not get my rolag getting too tight as I spin.
@UrbanGypZ2 жыл бұрын
It is easier to sin from a batt. I would do a bit of predrarting if it seems to get in a twist as you spin
