You should check out launch day reviews of the FX-8150.... aka Bulldozer. People were just as baffled then with Bulldozer as they are now Arrow Lake. Back then, people guessed that Intel might start running in place to avoid an anti-trust suit from the US Government, and they were right about Intel running in place. The good news is anyone that bought a 7950x or 7800x3d will probably have that CPU for a very long time. Just like the Core i5-2500k or 4770k that people used for years.

You have to wait for the next or next-next model with the new CPU architecture to perform better than the CPU architecture it replaces. I am very far from being an Intel fanboy. However, I would like to point out that the 245K CPU requires between 20 and 30 W less. This means that the FPS performance per watt is not bad at all. In general, however, the entire platform is too expensive and clearly preferable to the AMD 7800x3d.
