It's not a infection or disease The monsterization process is just the soul taking over the body in the form of the person's greatest desire. Those who are turning generally have histories including things like abuse and trauma and they look fairly normal until a nosebleed gives them away. The monsters aren't in control of their emotions as they are possessed by their desire so they can't choose not to harm people and its scariest because instead of something physical like a virus from a zombie, it's psychological. Literally ANYONE can turn no matter what you do because everyone has desires.

I feel like “whole story” is over-exaggerating lol. It definitely still leaves quite a lot of blanks or only vaguely answers some questions. Not that I think it’s unwatchable or bad because of it, but just that it would be lying to say that this is the kind of show that gives all the answers.

What I like about kdrama is they make me confused and curious at first. I don't really like movies/series that are too clear in explaining the reasons for what happened. I prefer to think and guess. Kdrama also likes to explain things symbolically. And sometimes this is difficult for some people who are not familiar with kdrama to catch. In the comments, someone say watching this is like reading a book, we have to finish reading in order to get all the answers. I agree with that.

I enjoy watching you guys’ reactions. You need to separate yourself from the traditional zombie movies that people got infected by bitten by a zombie. What makes this show stand out to me is the creativity of different monsters and how people turned into the monsters they are. The whole show wraps around nicely as it progresses.

Talking about him not being happy with what he was left with, he was already dealing with mental health issues and was a shut in. Then to suddenly find out his entire family died so violently. Especially with a father like that. People grieve and express themselves in different ways, sometimes comes across as selfish or coldhearted. But all in all this show is damn good, its confusing in the beginning but you slowly start to unravel the mystery as you move forward

This is the reason why I love shows like this that doesn't follow the typical plot and make everything super obvious to their audience. I'm a fan of mysterey and horror genre. So i think thats why i like it even more. I like that its different and not the same zombie stuff.

No spoilers but 30 million won is only about 23K USD. It would be impossible for him to survive on that amount considering the cost of everything (rent, food, etc) and the fact that he's young, without a job, without any family who could help him, and in a mental health crisis due to what happened to him. He's bitter because of his situation - which you'll find more about later.

For all of the people begging them to not drop it: give them time. I wanted to drop the show after the first two episodes but I stuck around. By the end of episode 3, I was finally enjoying it - and from there, with only a few little deviations due to dumb plot choices, I enjoyed it more as the season progressed. But if they don’t enjoy it after the 3-5 range of episodes, then maybe they should drop it. Holding out for the action/payoff of 8-10 won’t feel worth it if the journey to get there isn’t enjoyable to them.

Yeah the first few episodes aim to confuse you because of all the flashbacks, the hallucinations, and with all the characters storylines we are given to follow. But gradually it becomes less confusing I promise!

You become the monster of what you desire most basically its not the fish or the smell. For example the mc wants to die more than anything so he just becomes something that can't die. The girl that turned firsts was always hungry due to her severe dieting so she became a monster that's always hungry and wants to eat. Watch the traits of the other monsters and you'll understand. The deeper meaning is that human desires and greed will eventually lead to the end of the world.

Sweet Home is a slow burn type of show. You get clues but you might not get the answer for 1 or 2 episodes. The young guy who goes to save the kids and the thug guy with the burn on his face are my favorite characters.

Final Scene - His best friend wanted to be in with the wealthy, cool-kids. They told him he would have to beat up Cha Hyun-Su (the main character) because he's poor, and he did! You'll have to see if Cha Hyun-Su was pushing his former friend in front of the bus OR was he saving him from the bullies who told his friend to beat him up???? Those bullies in K-dramas are into having other people inflict the actual pain on the victims.

You turn into a monster and that monster is basically an exaggeration of your what craved (read shotgun boy for more details 😆 of how it started) So imagine what type of desire the monster represents 😂 like maybe the big eye was somebody that wanted to see everything 😆

I read sweet home manhwa 3 years ago, the live adaptation didn't interest me at first, but last night got me binge watched the show straight for whole days, enjoyed the whole show from s1 to s3. Epic mc transformation and honestly the show improved of the storyline is better than the manhwa. suddenly felt like watching some of ppl reaction, and then came here, yall reaction did not disappoint after all haha what im about to say is kind of like a spoiler but what's the most satisfying about this show is that all the bad guys always ended up dying an ugly death it's so exhilarating to watch and disgusted lol

Btw, Koreans like Hungarians use their family name first and then their first name. So here in the States for example, we will call him, Sangho Kim and in Korea, Kim, Sangho. I already gave my thoughts over on Patreon...but the comment section is interesting lol The writing in the show is shit, just like with Extracurricular. The only saving grace is that it has more action and the visual effects are decent. Expect a LOT of "Oh shit!" moments...do not expect too many clear answers or logic. Also, that tip I gave about changing the subtitle options is also super important. I recommend rewatching E2 because you won't get more real/concrete answers until E6 or so. Everything else is just confusion and contradictions to what you previously watched (you'll see what I mean in E3). Luckily, this show is getting another season, so hopefully they'll improve the writing and give us the answers we need.
