This is the best video I have seen on youtube about this subject by far.Clear and precise.

Thank you so much for all that you do. This is an EXCELLENT video presentation. A great visual emphasizing the importance stabilizing pelvic tilt. With major disk degeneration between L5 and S1 and moderate disk degeneration up from there, I have benefited GREATLY from this training. Muscle imbalance is real and a major issue with so many. I've often said to my wife and friends "Why haven't I learned this before now?" I grew up in a weight room and thought I understood how to build my core but after watching your videos and presentations, I discovered I knew very little about core training. As a result, my first hour in the weight room is dedicated to core balance training. Learning to properly engagement your core takes time but it's well worth your patience and the time invested. Like many, I spent a lot of time and money with chiropractors and had marginal to no improvement. In my opinion, chiropractic adjustments without proper muscular support is useless. On the flip side, I met with some physical therapists that never taught me what true core engagement means so I'd re-injure my back while attempting their exercise program. However, after mastering true core engagement, I was able to perform the exercises without pain and injury for the first time and sustain the exercise program. I'm currently on my tenth month of core balance training. Lastly, I love your comment "Motion is lotion." It inspires me to keep training daily. Thanks again, you are an absolute godsend.

What has helped me after suffering for almost 18 months from L4-L5-S1 disc bulge is overcoming fear of re- injury. Once I stop thinking too much about injury and taking too many precautions i kept on improving week on week. At the same time i worked on strengthening my core and back muscles. Our spine is not fragile..stopping flexion movement during acute phase is ok but not for chronic case. Lack of movement will only stiffen muscles and joints. I have disc Degeneration as well. I found lot of people who are having disc bulges and degeneration but they are doing everything including sports activities and hiking. It happened because they worked on strengthening the muscles.Along with strengthening, flexibility is equally important through stretching.

Thanks a lot😊. This topic has been rarely discussed. I was looking since a long time for informations about the inclination and balance starting from the hips/pelvic.

I have Spondy and I was doing some 10lb deadlifts this week and I’m in pain. The disc compression due to tight hip flexors makes sense. No longer a member but I have been following the CBT approach and dedicated myself everyday. Not sure what else I can do but will try to listen to my body and progressively build movement tolerance

Thank you so much doctor for your great sharing! What i hv learned in Pilates courses, in order to strengthen n mobility sinal muscles n core strength is to do a supine lying curl up slowly using one vertabral at the time incontrol movement into a seated position, n roll down slowly into lying position. Does this advisable to do so ?? Thank you much!

Very timely for me. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I've had a pars defect and a spondy for most of my adult life. But low back pain has only started in the last 6 months. I think my Psoas is trying to stabilize because I've "forgotten" how to use my abs.

I do enjoy your explanations. I am 78 years old and spend a lot of time sitting I have always had a “hollow back” and lower back problems through the years. I have recently had a fall, landed on my left hip. Had pelvis X-ray no problems found. Went for physio and have had relief from pain but now experiencing sciatic pain. After watching a few of your videos I am still not sure what I should be doing to strengthen my core to protect my lower back. I have been walking 20 mins a day. Is there more I can do?

What would you recommend for someone who has Bilateral Pars Frature at the L3 with grade 2 spondylolisthesis about 30%. I would love to learn some core strengthening exercises and anything else to help with SI joint pain from deterioration and arthritis in spine at fracture area. It has started to cause scoliosis also.

You spend an awful lot of time on the why. You spend virtually no time on the how. In the absence of that I'm afraid it's not very useful for me. Theory is great. I'm not a physiotherapist. Did you ever think about teaching at a college? But thanks for the info. Are you looking for revenue through a paywall or others?

I thought the modelling software with the movement helped me understand that in my case my lower back is under tension trying to stabilize my spine. My hip flexors are tight pulling on my back compressing my lumbar spine. Im tight sore tired. Stopped riding my bike for a month to see if I can settle this down. Hope you can see into how this visual can help, all the best to you 👍

Yes he has a program that you pay for monthly I have personally completed it and has helped me greatly. That’s why it always seems like he will not volunteer too much in these free videos.

@@brianvivod3944do you know if this program can help fix an uneven hips? Or is it just prevention from getting worse
@angelachase78822 ай бұрын
I too have done his course. I'm 76. His teaching has allowed me to target my specific concerns and to divert (so far) a recommended hip replacement. Getting my muscles around the hips and pelvis more balanced is offering tremendous correction. I'm going to stay with it. I truly believe it will get even better. I've had flare ups but after each one I realized greater stability than before. Grateful for this training.
