Trying out some thick paint techniques in the new version of Painter 2020.
Brushes mostly used: Heavy Texture Knife, Soft Thin Bristle, Oily Dry Pastel, Loaded Thick and Wet, Etch, Basic Round Knife.
Photo used as a reference available on my Artstation store in the Ireland photo pack.

Có lẽ "Mùa Thu Vàng" của họa sĩ LeVital phải vất vả lắm với mầu, bút vẽ, dẻ lau, toan vẽ... nhưng giờ đây họa sĩ Davey Baker chỉ có máy tính với đôi bàn tay tài hoa, trí tưởng tượng phong phú đã cho ra những tác phẩm trong vài giờ thậm trí vài chục phút !

Ánh sáng từ trong tranh tỏa ra không phải như máy ảnh từ thiên nhiên tao nên bức ảnh. khi nhìn bạn vẽ càng hiểu sâu sắc điều đó, cảm ơn họa sĩ Davey Baker !

Bút pháp biểu cảm, tôi rất thích cách xây dựng không gian tranh của bạn nó nhẹ nhàng không vật vã, vẽ mà như cuộc dạo chơi trong rừng vậy !...Có điều tôi rất tiếc, giống như tôi nhiều khi chi tiết diễn tả quá nên mất đi cái lung linh (... cái để người xem vẽ tiếp trong cảm thụ mới là tuyệt ý phải không bạn !, điểm nữa các tác phẩm bạn nên có chữ ký để người xem thấy trách nhiệm của mình)

Correct, my foundation is in traditional art. Though I’ve barely touched traditional painting over the last ten years due that being the time i started producing digital art. I can still say I’ve spent many more hours painting traditionally but I personally think It’s a good idea to do both because you can learn so much from each.

Thank you for your thick paint demo and would like to learn the technique, do you have the painted scene established before you start your painted demo or does it entirely immerge in progress? (myself I need to always seem to start with the former)

Hey John, this was me just experimenting with the thick paint brushes, there is two more vids after this one and the technique varies a little. To answer your question they are all studies from photographs I took in Ireland. It’s useful to use a reference when trying new brushes and techniques, takes away some of the decision making. Hope this helps.

Keep going it’ll get easier with a little practice. I bounce around quite a lot with the themes I like to draw so I’m always learning from scratch with something new but it’ll all start to feel the same after some time, no matter what you draw. Reference is key whenever you’re unsure!
