Enjoyed this so much! It's helpful to watch another person's process. I would like my cursor/brush to flash with a blue ring like that... how on earth can I get that to happen?

Many thanks, glad you found it useful. That’s not a Corel Painter feature unfortunately, it’s picked up by the recording software, when I tab the pen on the screen.

Thanks for responding! My first thought was somehow I missed a new curser in Painter 2021 but knew I’d looked at them while adjusting settings. I did research and came across a Stardock app on sale at $4.00 called Curserfx. While I’m not fond of add-ons in general, at least they are a legitimate developer and their apps appear stable. It allows customization of the curser and there is a community offering free cursers they’ve designed like there used to be for many apps. I found a transparent glowing curser and added rings when tapping that can be toggled on or off so they aren’t annoying. It’s the kid in me and as an artist I always loved customizing software. I should have known the presentation software had this too! It was late and my tired brain wasn’t connecting the dots. Thanks again for the great video, I learned of building layers slowly in the correct order with an underpainting to set values. It is one thing to read about this and entirely another to watch this done so I’m grateful you have shown this in detail. The painting came out looking real and it’s spectacular to be drawn into the scene as if standing in it. What an amazing talent. Blessings to you for a wonderful holiday season. 🎨

Oh, I had no idea you could do that with Painter. I’ve seen what looks like the outlines of countries on PS, that might be standard though I’ve never used it. Thanks for letting me know what was useful for you, it’s always good to get detailed feedback, I mostly get complaints about there being no narration lol A very happy holidays to you and your family, stay safe! @@DaveyBakerArt I can't get too much help with art. I've never been able to afford art classes since leaving high school where teachers took a fond interest in helping a kid delighted to skip English by turning in a pile of book reports to spend that last hour in art class. I'd stay as long as possible and was told to lock up the supply cabinets before leaving. 😱 I'll never forget them for this. Art videos on KZbin mean everything. I cherish the art colony here as much as those in Laguna Beach and Catalina Island. Karen Bonaker invited me into the DAA community where her kind generosity is a blessing. I'll never complain about your videos not having natration as they are visually clear and well presented. It doesn't matter which paper or brush is used, the process is what matters! That you proved it possible to replicate a master painting with detail and precision is impressive. Complainers always find a reason but should be appreciative that you are willing to do this... 🤙 🌺 I cannot thank you enough.

@@DaveyBakerArt You can't do this with Painter itself, it's done through the operating system (in my case Windows 10). Painter cursers are of it's own ecosystem and limited by what they offer. I'm glad they don't fiddle with minor additions like the curser but they could allow customizations. My bet is they wouldn't want to provide support for headaches this might cause with new and older users not understanding how to make or import them.

what is the shortcut for brush angle?
@DaveyBakerArt2 жыл бұрын
The only place I’ve ever changed it is in the advanced settings. I don’t know a shortcut, sorry
