Who is CoreLeoni you ask? It is a project founded by none other than GOTTHARD guitarist and founder Leo Leoni to pay a very personal tribute to his ROCK & ROLL past!
In Leo’s words, "On the 25th anniversary of the release of the first GOTTHARD album, I wanted to pay tribute to songs like: DOWNTOWN, FIREDANCE, HIGHER, HERE COMES THE HEAT, IN THE NAME, RIDE ON…., LET IT BE, and ALL I CARE 4. Songs that with Gotthard we have kind of left aside. We've re-recorded, refreshed, and "re-brushed" them in a respectful way. These songs are very dear to me and they are part of a period that will remain forever with me."
Joining CoreLeoni on this release:
Ronnie Romero (Lords Of Black, Rainbow): vocals
Hena Habegger : drums
Jgor Gianola : guitar
Mila Merker : bass
Leo Leoni dusted these songs off and brough a new life to these overlooked masterpieces from his past. The album also includes a new song, “Walk On Water”.
"This “CoreLeoni” project made me feel so many emotions and memories, filling my heart with joy. I hope hearing these new versions gives all the Gotthard fans, especially the ones who knew and loved the band in the early days, the same great emotions that it has brought to me,” concludes Leo.

Ronnie Romero is the man....it's crazy how I much of Dio I saw in him when touring with Blackmore and here he sounds like Steve lee. It's crazy what this man can do his voice, I'm an absolute fan of all of the project he's involved in.

Blackmore picked him as he said he was a cross between Dio and Freddie Mercury which is a pretty good description... Listen to Lords of the Black (Ronnies other band) cover of Queen "Innuendo". Ronnie also sings on the new Vandenberg album and all star power metal band The Ferrymen

I miss Steve Lee so much. I cry rivers of tears every time I see his videos, and that's alot. And Leo Leoni carrying on that amazing tradition And Ronnie Romero was the perfect choice. I absolutely cant listen to the band that took over Gotthard, it's not the same. I just miss Steve Lee period!!!!!

i dont know who are those plebs who dislikes ... this kind of music is rare these days leo leoni works great in gotthard his some riffs are amazing and now he is with talented vocalist Ronnie Rommero ... for me his voice suits to Gotthard songs although no one can replace steve lee , his voice was magic but i feel ronnie is better choice for gotthard . his vocals suits to gotthard music ... i wish to see ronnie in Gotthard lineup

Let It Be is my favorite Gotthard song of all time and Ronnie Romero did the song the justice! Imho Gotthard picked the wrong replacement singer(r.i.p Steve Lee) when there were much better fits such as Tommy Heart, Oliver Hartmann and Ronnie Romero. Anyway, I hope big success for both Gotthard and Leo Leoni's side project.
