Magnificient, the all too rare Leonard arrangement of Corelli's folia, previously played by grand masters of the 20th century before the baroque instruments came back. I love this violinist's interpretation, rare and excellent that gives a sharper voice to the folia.

Thank you!!! I agree! I came across this piece thanks to Ida Haendel. But Milstein, Szigeti, Szeryng, everybody played it back then - I love this version by Léonard!

I like Milstein's better than Sveryng's. Also I prefer the piano of Leon Pommers to the harpsichord of Huguette Dreyfus. But your interpretation is a lot more enjoyable with the ensemble.

Beautifully played. I really enjoyed the unabashed warm sound and sentiment. Thank you for sharing.

I really love your interpretation of the cadenza. I like those high octaves near the end. As far as I remember Milstein didn't play it entirely. Szeryng did and I really love his. I also love this one, never heard orchestra accompanying it.

you should check out Ida Haendels version! and Szigeti - he plays it maybe most inspiring!!! But I came across the piece through Ida Haendel, she has such an urgent sound!
