One of the few games where there is actually a leveling experience throughout the game. BioWare has brought that back to the genre. Experience through leveling. Not just "lol..bro...level cap is where it starts" In SWTOR it starts the second you start a character

Exactly! With the Knight, at this point at Corellia, you really feel deep inside the real problems of the galaxy, not as just another jedi knight.. the whole story with the emperor hunt, the actual state of Corellia, the frequent appearence of Sith lords (not just marauders) and actual militar strategy always being discussed PLUS the music (that stars to get more slow, suspicius and strongly heavy) gives you the feeling that you somehow leveled (not the numbers and not actually how hard to kill mobs). When i got to the act 3 for first time, i was really submerged into the story, barely paying atention to levels. The emperor, his plans, master Satele and other characters got my full atention to the game. What was going to happen next? I didnt thought aboutn "what is next to level the character?" but instead "what is going to happen after this in the story?"

And even today's SWTOR is still a game people will often play to level hordes of characters, even though it's much easier than at launch.

@@kalejarmar3187 Ch1 of consular only fit 1 spec, seer sage (pre-7.0; add corruption sorc in 7.0)... and most people played the story as something other than seer sage. None of the NFU stories seemed to fit their respective healer specs.

That planet is similar to Coruscant, a city planet, but it's destroyed by the war, with destroyed buildings, war machines and ruins everywhere. It makes me sad to think it went from a battlefield in this era to a slaver camp when Palpatine's Empire appeared

ughh i could never do that. I made my first toon (gunslinger), got it to level 55, geared him up pretty good, then did the same with my 2nd toon (sith jugg). Im about to start my 3rd toon. I would never be able to create a toon for every class at the same time, it would make the story experience confusing

Some people in my guild are already level 40. I envy people with no life. Still, 23 isn't bad! They have somewhat fixed the queues on the full servers. I heard a theory that they purposefully lowered the population limit for the early access people so that we would spread out among the existing servers.

Meh, it wasn't terribly different. The thing is in a lot of games like Rogue Squadron or JK3 it was shown during the night and from higher altitude, thousands of years later. It's not my favourite planet but I like it.

@SurfTheory Really? :( I hit level fourteen in WoW, did a few raids, I never felt "immersion". I had been hoping there'd be more of that in TOR... full voice-acting and what not. That doesn't help with feeling detached from the environment? Ah well, I'll have to see for myself. I would have to argue on the graphics point of view though. TOR looks better, at least to me, and Brittish accents are preferable to American imho.

Ok. Lets break this down piece by piece. Little fun things. The only swtor has SPACE BATTLES. What does WoW have? Well, nothing at the moment, but soon in MoP you will get pokemon battles. Woohoo. Interaction. Well, lets see, does WoW have even half as many cutscenes as swtor? No, and WoW is running on a nearly 7 year old engine for many of their models (Humans, night elves.) Accent? Well, you should be happy thier ANY voice acting at all where in wow there might be 70 npc's that actually talk..

I'll be ashamed to say it, but as mawesome as the music for Corellia was, I hated that planet. It just didn't feel right for some reason. Maybe I'm too used to rural battlefields and the switch to warfare in the middle of a city just did not sit well with me or something. I was more comfortable in Nar Shadaa than I was in Corellia. 0.o;
