Yep, I had my life threatened and went nonverbal. Caused me so much mental health problems. I was a problematic kid and acted out at home and at school. I had very not normal behavior and no one caught it. There was no hero in my story. Trying to explain what just happened to you and not being able to physically talk, then reliving the whole situation over again in a child's mind will crush the sole of any very young child.

Personally as a man and even when I was a boy, I wouldn't hide or omit who did it. Especially if they didn't face justice. I trust my parents with my life and would tell them if something happened. However, when I was raped by a woman when I was intoxicated at 18, I didn't tell my parents mainly cause I felt embarrassed and didn't want sympathy. I also knew because I'm a man and the perp is a woman, many including my parents wouldn't probably believe me or call it rape since my perpetrator was a woman my age and it would just be laughed off because people don't believe men can be hurt by women in that way.

If asked though, I'd absolutely have no issue saying her name. Her name's Selena. But the event itself I never told my parents about. I've only told my girlfriend and ex girlfriends about the event and talked about it in therapy since it's effected my love life negatively and made me hyper sexual. Prior to the event, I actually had thought I was asexual and I had no desire for sex. After the abuse, it warped me and made me hyper sexual and also now I have issues emotionally in relationships and feel detached and cold or super clingy depending on the situation. It's hurt my view of women and lead me to date abusive partners since I've never known better up until my last girlfriend who hurt me a ton and lead me to finally seek out therapy and get help.

I kinda got a problem with monetizing the damn thing. Ken Burns, the documentary film maker, has given us his treasures for free on PBS, with an option to buy the discs if we choose. And as incredible as his films are, the various subject matter is dwarfed in importance by the info that Corey supposedly has. Should be a free public safety type of endeavor, not a money making opportunity.
