Christopher Gregor, charged with murdering his 6-year-old son, allegedly forced the child to run on a treadmill because he was "too fat." Autopsy reports show Corey Micciolo died from blunt force trauma and lacerations of the heart and liver. Corey Micciolo’s mother, Breanna Micciolo, reported the suspected abuse to Child Protective Services over 100 times in 18 months, but no action was taken. Jessica Pryce, author of "Broken: Transforming Child Protective Services,” joins NewsNation's "CUOMO" to discuss.
Chris Cuomo hosts "CUOMO," a no-nonsense show featuring the day's most important news from all perspectives. "CUOMO" airs weeknights at 8 p.m. ET/ 7 p.m. CT on NewsNation. #CUOMO

He has the top dog Michael Baden testifying that Corey had sepsis. The coroner also testified in favor of OJ and I believe the west Memphis 3 murderers. So when you have a high profile...paid alot man like this in the stand in your favour...anything can happen.

The mother wasn't the only addict, the father was also as he had past convictions of drug charges, he also had past assault and robbery charges. It infuriates me to see any concern for the mother's rights be written off at "oh well, she's an addict". Just because someone struggles with addiction does not mean they should lose their value or voice as a human being. The only reason this malignant narcissist got custody of this child born from the rape of his mother at 16 by this POS is HIS daddy is well connected in our very corrupt government with his long career in law enforcement and homeland security. I wonder how grandpa feels now.

Chris Gregor was not in Corey's life his first four years. There was only a problem in the last 2 years of Corey's life. This precious child suffered the beatings beginning at the age of 4 & more so the last year and a half of his life. The mother was sixteen and Gregor was 21 when he raped her. He has a long criminal record of violence. Her error was contacting him when Corey was 4 years old & the purpose was to seek child support. The court ended up giving them equal custody which meant neither parent pays child support, thus the torture began. On Corey's last day, Gregor ruptured his sons' internal organs. Listen to the testimony given by the pathologist. No ONE listened to his mother's plea for help. The bruises went ignored by both the judge who granted Gregor custody and CPS. Corey's dad had him on a treadmill.....now Corey has his dad on a treadmill. Rest in peace Corey.❤ Much love to his mother and family. May Corey's death not be in vain.

I think the underbelly is what drove this dismissal. CPS is constantly understaffed, overworked, underpaid. So anytime they can dismiss a drug addict and move on to more important cases (In their mind) they will just to try and keep things going. I thjnk that grandpa's work history influenced CPS to much. He seems a very forceful guy with jobs he got to stand over others. I think he did it at home also after listening to him for almost an hour and then his wife. He was a force to be reckoned with. Son didn't fall far from the tree. He seemed a perpetual student who was now studying to be a teacher. Man can't fit into law enforcement so he is going to dominate children. Mom, well I mean the fact she raised him till she was going to rehab alone without daddy means nothing when we can give daddy custody as his family has had an employee in homeland security. This kid is fine right? The judge, CPS and anyone else involved allowed their prejudice to over ride actual proof this child was not safe. Sad a mother who was trying to save her son while getting her life back on track was ignored and denied she had reason to be concerned.

That monster needs to get the D penalty. Unfortunately, NJ doesn't have the D penalty so he should get life without parole with no protective custody. This trial is taking way too long he is obviously guilty.

Hold them responsible. I'm going through this right now in the UK and my son is with the sociopath abuser.... dad. He's abused 3 of my children force fed bags of chilli thrown at walls the one he's got custody of he had cutting cannabis plants down at age 6. Social services and police didn't even interview my children and covered it all. Made it so I had no chance in court and gave him custody. The 2 I still have are now diagnosed with ptsd. There's ongoing abuse I have proof of yet no one in Hull UK will do anything. Hold them responsible il make sure to get them in jail when the truth comes out.

Dyfs isnt for reunification. I struggled with addiction in nj and my dad and at the time was his girlfriend offered to let my little boy stay with them. The next day allegedly my son had lice and my dads girlfriend and her daughters took my son to paul Kimble hospital. For lice where dyfs was called on me. They immediately wanted me to give my dad and her custody because he has a nice house and what my dads now wife her name is K didnt know was i got paper work of all the hours they spent investigating my case and every time they spoke with k and her 2 daughters they were always lying and making up stories on me.

His mother tried her best to protected him and CPS failed her and so did his grandparents.

I think they should do a forensic audit on every jurors phone.
