Surprised Skinner is one of the players that facinate you the most for this series. The knock on edmonton for years has been goaltending and defense. Everyone has said how if edmonton got decent goaltending they'd win it all. Skinner has been pretty good outside a few moment/games these playoffs and I think he can shock some people in this series

He's absolutely floored me this playoffs actually. I was one who always used to point to him as part of the problem with the Oilers. Then in the Dallas series he's got a .927 save percentage and Jake Otter Ottenger, the young hope of Dallas, has a .896. Game six he faces 38 shots and blanks Dallas, one of the best depth teams in these playoffs. I dunno, maybe people saw something in Skinner that I didn't

You could make a video high-lighting the differences in goalies. Skinner is a younger guy looking to prove himself and I wouldn't have guessed that he'd be in the cup finals Bobrovsky helped rebuild 3 teams and has been in the playoffs since 2010. Now he looks to cap off the career with a Cup in FLA. Their reputation is on opposite ends of the spectrum.

If anything else, Perry and or his agent has a nose for sniffing out Stanley Cup finalist teams. In the grand scheme of things it certainly registers as an insanely weird gift on the scale of freakishly lucky. The good news is Knoblauch will be the first coach out of all 5 teams that won't hesitate to take him out as a health scratch if he becomes a liability at any given moment during the series. Maybe in this case you can equate liability to bad luck, or vice versa, which is why Knoblauch will be watching Perry like a hawk.
