Stone Sour was actually a band Corey was in before Slipknot formed and once Slipknot was big enough he and Jim Root reunited with Stone Sour to make a full length album

I am not going "with what the crowd says" I am a life long Metallica fan, and I don't bow down to any band wagon opinons.....I am a fan of the Kiil'em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, And Justice For All, Metallica. That music had depth, and talent.Anything after the Black album was a slap in the face to any original Metallica fan.I am aware that some people enjoy Load , Reload, and St. Anger.But the only thing pre 1991 Metallica and post 1991 Metallica have in common is the name.
