That question about chester got my back up, Corey had the best answer To that question, Chester wasn't a coward, he just grew tired of fighting his personal demons, and Corey is a legend for defending Chester that way
@Ariel_thenotsolittlemermaid2 жыл бұрын
Corey has bipolar disorder and has attempted suicide multiple times, so he knows that pain and knows that anyone blaming the death on anything other than an illness just doesn't know what they're talking about. Also, this is not the first time he had Chester's back- about a month before what happened, a quote Chester gave in an interview was taken out of context and was made to look like Chester has no respect for his fans, which got a lot of people to be mad at him- and Corey almost immediately defended Chester on Twitter. They had a little back and forth about it, you can view it on Chester's page!

I also don't understand where he got the idea that a lot of fans said Chester was a coward. Of course, some people say that, but I talk with LP fans all the time and can probably count on one hand the number of times I've seen people say that (which I think is mainly due to the amazing work his widow and bandmates have been doing educating people about depression). I think Larry King was just projecting his own twisted views, and tried to mask it by saying fans said that.
@MegaHariboboy3 жыл бұрын
@@Ariel_thenotsolittlemermaid Unfortunately, for people that have been affected by others suicide, it can be seen as cowardly. Granted, unless you have been in a situation where you feel like there is no escape, you don't know what it is like, but there is always someone there for you, be it family, children etc. Suicide takes all of them out of the equation, and doesn't take into consideration the fact that your pain and suffering is now going to be felt by even more people. A political question would be "How much money should we invest in fixing streets?" not "Should group X get full human rights?". I don't like the idea of approaching the issue of marginalised people not having full rights from a moderate/balanced perspective, because in most cases that would just result in holding up the status quo. This was an awesome interview! I honestly could listen to them talk about music for hours. Especially King with his questions and responses.

I think it’s a sore subject for you. Larry doesn’t bring any emotions to his interviews. He just asks the questions that people want to hear the answers to. Personally, I loved how he interviewed people, always respectful, professional, and unbiased which is extremely rare especially these days.

I don't have the right to be proud of a person that i don't know personally or even met in my life, but i am proud of Corey. Well spoken my friend, you are a good musician and a good thinker/talker. Intellectual.

I so agree it's like you have no concept of the working people. The economy is going good & alot of other things. Why can't successfull musicians & celebrities shut up about politics. Because they can't relate to majority of people
@madanevs6 жыл бұрын
Economy's going good because of Obama, and dude, Trump is a celebrity, he wasn't a politician, and he DEFINITELY can't relate to the majority of people, so why even use that as an excuse as to why celebrities aren't allowed to talk politics?

This was really wholesome to watch for the first time, R.i.p. Larry. Also Corey is such a genuine human being. From defending Chester to his political stances and morals. What really got me were the giggles from the staff in the background @ 19:55 concerning the nude stunt.

There's no "Corey humiliating an interviewer". There's just Larry bringing common sense to the table to make him speak his mind, making him answer what those small minded people ask a lot. Larry is a really clever interviewer. People get that wrong too often.
