I will tell you from first-hand experience from the outside looking in that it doesn't matter what bottle of liquor you hold in your hand 3/5 or more a day it's a very horrible thing. I recently got the worst news of my life in decided to carry on my family Legacy by Drowning my sorrows in 1 1/2 days and drink more than I have in a week (over 3.5 litres) when I was partying. It's nothing to be proud of. But drinking like that isn’t always a party if at all. It’s just self destruction. Yes he did it before shows which I guess can be seen as a giant party but he even said it himself. He was doing it to cover up something else in his life that was causing problems. Drinking is advertised as a social lubricant and a way to become the life of a party but what they never or rarely advertise is how it can ruin your life and they refuse to show you this side in ads for obvious reasons 💰. If you’re drinking just to be cool like an NPC then you wouldn’t understand. I was an extreme alcoholic and I would drink like him but I was using to cover up my social anxiety problems. Eventually it caught up with me and I got a DUI but even before that I got fired from my job for being drunk at work. When I would drink I wouldn’t even try talking to people. I would drink and get drunk just in case someone tried to socialize with me then I wouldn’t seem so socially awkward or feel uncomfortable during normal conversation. I didn’t wanna be cool I just didn’t wanna feel scared.

He says he changed them back, but I think he meant he changed again, meaning, he changed to another technique

Good on you Corey. Im working on drinking. Got 302'd to the VA hospital wth a .31 alcohol ptc, and I remembered Every conversation and the test they put me through and taken blood. Lord knows what alcohol level I'm at when I stopped remembering shit

He says he had 3 bottles of jack Daniels a day and everyone goes wild and applause? What a stupid audience. 3 bottles of jack a day your asking to have serious health issues within 2 years

I'm not saying he didn't try something new.. but I think he doesn't want to admit he blew out his voice.. I'm eternally grateful he did that on the first two albums, that's why it sounds so good because you're not supposed to scream like that lol.

Pretty sure he blew his voice out somewhere on the 2003 stone sour tour and lost the deep part of his scream listen to 9.0 live he cannot even get through a couple of lines each song consistentlyscreaming, and by all hope is gone he figured out a deep growl that worked and sounded similar to Iowa. Now he's come back to a more healthy scream, he screams a "proper" way that doesn't damage your vocal chords but still sounds bad ass. Pretty sure he went to a vocal coach. Nothing will ever match the Iowa scream but that just shreds your vocal chords I like his story and I'm sure there is some validity to it. But not the whole truth. He is lucky he can still scream and sing, all that screaming should have destroyed his voice.
