@Liormakescoffee2 ай бұрын
Most palestinians barely even know about the conflict. Most Israelis are told and taught about the conflict but in a bit of a bias way. Palestinians will definitely claim that Israel shouldn't existed cause it didn't exist 75 years ago. Israelis will say that they literally under attack by Palestinians and arabs for a millenia now. Palestinians will make the occupation claims: AKA all of Israel from the river to the sea. Religious jews will claim that all of the land is theirs because god said so. Left leaning jews will say both of the sides suffered and they want to reach peace. Right leaning jews will say palestinians are too radicalized to even talk to them without being killed. From previous question the most common answer from both sides: Palestinians: The jews are evil and we want to send them back to wherever they came from AKA nowhere inciting genocidal tendencies. Israelis: Palestinians are attacking us all the time and we just want peace, or radicalized Israelis\logical Israelis(IMO) they all hate us and we shouldn't negotiate with them because they don't want peace! I'm pretty sure it sums up all answers without him making videos. Highly advise you to watch previous videos

Pan Arab nationalism didn't work when Nasser tried it because there Is NOT one monolitchic arab culture. There are many very regional sub cultures. Egyptian, Lebanese, Jordanian, Syrian, Yemeni, Iraqi, Libyan, etc. and within each of these there are manifold religious and political differences within one region. Each group has different politics, different religious identities, different aims and goals. Even in terms of our food, and what seems the same, there is flair and regional difference. Gamal's idea fell apart in the 50s and 60s precisely because of all the manifold differences, along with each party arguing for their own regional interests while speaking about unity. Its one of the things thats very annoying when people say "there never were Palestinians, they are just Arabs." I guess We can just ignore that there were many diverse arab peoples in the levant alongside the Jews who were also there as far back as 500 BCE and earlier. Its one reason why you can be an Israeli or American Jew or a Palestinian arab, and if either group's DNA is tested against bronze age Canaanite remains both of the groups share DNA as much as 50%. A conflict where two sides can both claim legitimate grievance based in their experience as well as standing is bitter and sad.

Although it is unreasonable to only blame the ottomans as the writings of Al ghazali began influencing people to avoid philosophy and become more close minded which may have led to a sort of brain drain in the region. They feel offended so they cry and assimilate themselves to appear to their Western masters. Lebanese have these problems too. The Christians, alhamdullah not all, however it has become a stupid Trend for Lebanese Christians to call themselves Phoenicians. Phoenicians or Canaanites (same thing, different name) originally emmigrated to the Levante from Yemen. They are a Semetic ppl and very ancient. Arabs are semetic too. Under Arab rule they intermixed and spoke more arabic. Lebanon stayed Christian unlike Egypt which became a Center of the Islamic World. There is no problem in being Christian Arab but when they come to the west they feel as outsiders since their language well our language is Islam's main language. I myself am Lebanese Sunni from a Catholic city named Zahlé. We are proud Arabs. My grandpa wore the Arab hat(kaffiyeh) everyday and he's white w blond hair und blue eyes. It doesn't matter we are all arabs. We have Phoenician, Canaanite heritage which I actually love but the anti Arabs ruin it. Listen friend. Egypt has nothing to do w Ancient egyptian culture and language. But Arab culture and language just like Lebanon. It is cool to have ur Ancient own background. But we are Arabs and proud. If ppl would say Ancient Egypt and Phoenicia are our cool long distance Ancestors backgrounds it would be fine. But we Arabs are 1 ppl that need to unite so we should not and can not stand the distancing and de associating us from each other. Idc if ur Christian Arab, muslim Arab or whatever... WE ARE ARABS. If you go to Egypt like I did in 2022 with my Lebanese citizenship I could get through the gate that leads to the Pyramids faster. There are 2 entrances for Tourists and for Arabs. I got a Ticket which says "Egyptian/Arab" Egypt under Nasser made Pan Arabism. Egypt's flag says Arab republic. As a Lebanese in Egypt the Egyptians called me a fellow egyptian. It's like the U.S unlike states we have Nations.

It's interesting. If you ask the Israeli people if they support the killing of 15k children in Gaza or they think it's justified, their response is yes (based on opinion polls). It doesn't mean they like killing civilians. It means they justify it after October 7, because they geel threatened and their compassion for the other side is at 0. The same applies to the Palestinians. After decades of seeing their civilians killed with American weapons and support with impunity, they had no compassion for American civilians. Because of religion, tribalism, and corruption. Arab muslims have intense divides based on a sectarian split which they have not reconciled. Christians also had this, but moved past it hundreds of years ago after bitter and bloody conflicts and inquisitions, repression, expulsions. It remains to be seen when, how, or if Arab muslims will figure that out. They also have tribal allegiance over and above allegiance to a state, and this causes conflict between them and also leads to a lot of corruption in the form of patronage to tribes/families/sunni/shia definitions of a person rather than being meritocratic.
@The_Gallowglass2 ай бұрын
Because not all Arabs are Muslims. Not everyone in Arab lands are Arab. Not all sects of Islam even agree with each other. They've been fighting forever about who is the true heir of Muhammad and thus the leader of the Muslim world. If they could get a guy in that wanted to unite the Arabs and settle that problem and find peace with Israel, that could happen. The problem is, you have Iran stirring up the different Arab groups. After all, right now the only countries in its "neighborhood" that don't recognize it are pretty much just Iran & its proxies... And as you know, Iran is extremely unstable and will change leadership sooner or later due to the public opinion... The rest of the countries who don't belong to Iran's Axis even protected Israel from missiles when it needed so. So what do you think can even destroy Israel exactly?
@samwise17902 ай бұрын
It's pretty telling that you think one of the only things preventing Arab Muslim countries from uniting is one small non-muslim country. Nothing, literally nothing has stopped these countries from uniting since the fall of the Ottoman Empire and the British/French leaving. And yet those countries fight horrendously bloody wars, civil wars, and proxy wars with each other almost non stop for 70 years, orders of magnitude more than they've been in conflict with Israel.
