My corgi self appointed herself as my service dog. One day my sugar level started to drop and she immediately started nudging my arm or leg to get my attention!! I didn’t realize at that time of course but after that it became a habit and she just kept me safe and let me know it was time for diabetic medicine!! 🐾🐾🐈

Hi! I’m Kona’s handler. So Kona is a medical alert and response service dog. Not a therapy dog! I did message and correct the poster and let them know! Just to correct any confusion. Also the video of her and fireworks is from when she was a puppy in training! She is not not at all phased by fireworks and a fully trained service dog

i have a corgi service dog as well. i actually had a major breakthrough in training the other day. i have POTS, a cardiac/neurological condition. my heartrate goes as high as 200+ bpm. my corgi is 3 years old, i statted training late, when she was 1. originally she was only for psychiatric needs, but then i finally got diagnosed with POTS and began training her for that. while doing a training session last night in a target, i noticed her add a small growl, nothing loud but enough for me to question what was happening, so i put my pulse ox on and i was at 160. i tested this several times. shes definitely still learning that cardiac aspect of it but im so proud of her.

Your dog is a therapy dog. Way way different from a service dog. It takes me a better part of a year to get these dogs at least conditioned to fireworks and large crowds.

Hi! Kona is actually a medical alert and response service dog. It is a title error by the poster! I did DM them and ask them to correct it. The video they showed of Kona and fireworks is 4 years old from when she was in training! She’s now a fully trained service dog (:
