I had a black one with not-so-rich red Corinthian Velvet seats. I liked them better and it was stunning! Montalban said Chrysler gave him 13 of those cars over the years.

That's a great color combination! And hopefully a nice driving experience, too. It really seems like their working relationship was a fun one over the years that he genuinely enjoyed. Getting that many cars, probably the newest one each time, would have been amazing 😃

@@internationalleatherclub They were beautiful (still are) and Mr. Montalban made them even more luxurious. No one had more class than he did and Chrysler was brilliant for hiring him. I have always liked cloth seats better and would decline a leather upgrade for free if offered to me. I'm an auto detailer and my car is fabric and I had the choice, since I bought it new. The Cordobas were like Eldorados, Rivieras and Elites (long front, short back, landau roofs). They were plush and like riding on a cloud and with _my_ velvet seats made you feel like you were on a recliner at home (I don't care for leather furniture either). Ricardo said they just delivered one to him every year. He said it on many interviews and I don't recall if he picked them out, or if they just showed up at his door. He may not have invented the phrase for that "leather", but he sure made it famous. People wear it out, so I'm not even saying it here. Everyone knows its only found in Montalban's cars.

It's like how Chilean Sea Bass is not a Bass fish or how Pink salt is from Pakistan & not the Himalayas. Corinthian leather is not from Cornith, Greece. It's just a cool name for soft leather.

What about the difference between suade and nubuck

Suede is essentially a leather sanded to expose and raise the fibers from the middle layers of a hide. While nubuck is essentially the sanded and raised fibers from the top grain layer of the leather - resulting in shorter and slightly stronger fibers usually found in nubuck vs longer and more flexible fibers in suede).
