@@michaelhenchion8295grew up in Kyle street mid sixties when I was 6 y old used to hang around the coal quay, when the tide was out use kids used to cross over the bridge go down the steps on the left to the river bank opposite Kyrls quay and catch dozens of eels put them in hessian sacks and sell them to the fish monger in the English market happy memories.

Having been born in Cork and lived there till I was 17, I still remember the endless rain and dampness which doesn't show through in the photos. Having said that, deep down I still feel drawn to walk the streets again come rain or shine.

My dad was from Castletown, left during the second would war. My mom was also from Ireland, she was a Murray. All my dad's relatives are all but gone. I only knew the Murray side of the family. When I visited Ireland, I spent my time with them. Always wanted to see Cork. Maybe one day, raise the flag for the house of Dunboy, my son is the last of our line.

2:42 Butter exchange. Geometrically perfect so called revised Greco Roman style architecture with a pigsty for a street. Looks like it was dug outta the mud!
