Cork - Kenmare Drive via Fully Open Macroom Bypass (N22/R569) | Dash View, Audi Q3 | November 2023

A car drive from Cork City to Kenmare, County Kerry, Ireland via the new fully open Macroom and Ballyvourney bypass, on a late Autumn day in November 2023, filmed with my GoPro 8 mounted on the dashboard of my Audi Q3 Hybrid Sportsback. Kenmare lies on both the Ring of Kerry, and the Ring of Beara, and is considered to be a starting point for the Wild Atlantic Way. This journey starts joining the N22 near Ballincollig on the outskirts of Cork City, heading Westbound from Junction 1. We proceed all the way to a new turnoff roundabout, which can route you into Macroom Town, or the new Bypass. We traverse the now fully open bypass, including the final section that bypasses Ballyvourney, which opened only 4 days before this video was filmed. After the bypass finishes into the existing N22 road towards Killarney and Tralee, we cross into County Kerry, and turn-off for Kenmare onto the R569. This takes us through Kilgarvan, and into Kenmare itself, with the final stop being the Park Hotel Kenmare. Please note I had some fellow passengers so some parts of the video have audio muted with a lowpass filter due to the private conversations taking place.
