Best college player I’ve seen at his height played so much taller than he was. Strong hands, soft shooting around the rim, understood angles and how to use his body to get spacing... so strong... and really became one of their best free throw shooters on the team after a horrible freshman yr. I remember about halfway thru his soft more yr he just stopped missing free throws. The only time I saw him not be dominant and was out played was against umass with Lou rowe but clearly Corliss was the better player just was the first game after the championship and u could tell wasn’t ready. Ask Rasheed Wallace... Wallace played well In the first half but Corliss Dominated the rest of the game in the final 4.... sad that they only won 1 chip cause teams first 5 off the bench could make a run to the sweet 16.

Well said. Im a huge Pistons fan and he was so good for us. Most people dont know but probably the biggest reason the Pistons won the championship in 2004 was because they had the best bench in the league. Corliss williamsom, lindsey hunter, Mike james, Mehmet Okur, darvin ham, elden campbell.

@cnuffs I can think of one, and that's Rodney Rogers. But Rodney didn't have killer in instinct. Rasheed was too soft in the post. That, and Stackhouse getting hurt earlier in the first play, and Williams and Calabria having shooting woes, caused the Razorbacks to advance to the Final Four.

@@Belburg u mean caused them to advance to the national championship. They were already playing North Carolina in the final 4 and Arkansas’s 40 mins of hell locked up North Carolina in the 2nd half. Corey beck and clinton McDaniel got bz forcing turnovers and Dwight Stewart hitting that 80 foot 3 pointer right b4 half cutting the lead from 7 to 4. Sure u can make excuses about why North Carolina lost the game. But so can I. Scotty Thurman shot the ball horribly in that game 2 for 10… he was one of the best shooters in the country. Corey beck although had a great defensive night couldn’t hit a shot to save his life. They shut down Rasheed Wallace. Holding him scoreless in the 2nd half. Alex Dillard ( one of the best 3pnt shooters of all time in the SEC)was 0-4 from behind the arc… arkansas dominated the 2nd half… won the 2nd half by 11 points and it wasn’t even that close tbh. Arkansas was up double digits most of the final 10 mins of the game. Wallace played 33 mins and stackhouse who getting hurt right b4 half was not the difference trust me. The difference was Arkansas rotating 7 more players and forcing North Carolina’s starters to all go 30 to 40 mins. Stackhouse went 28. But Arkansas only had 2 starters go over 30 mins. And that was McDaniel and Scotty Thurman and I’ve noted Scotty Thurman one of the best shooters in all of college basketball couldn’t hit the side of the barn that night( he made up for it 2 nights later hitting the game winner) Arkansas and North Carolina both shot the same percentages from the field and from 3pnt range. What got Arkansas the win was they forced 6 more turnovers and out rebounded Carolina and kept fresh legs rotating through out the game. Wallace was held scoreless in the 2nd half and turned over the ball. Williamson was way too strong for him. And North carolina got the benefit of the whistle that night too going to the line 15 more times than Arkansas did. But they missed 8 of them. It was a good game but North Carolina would’ve lost to UCLA on Monday after that any way. That UCLA team was ridiculous and I tip my hat to them. But North Carolina was favorited b4 the game had the lead at halftime and got dominated the entire 2nd half. Be blessed. I enjoy talking all things college basketball especially when it comes to 1987-199 Arkansas basketball 🤜🤛

To me, her will always be a Piston (although he spent more time with the Kings, I think). Along with Big Ben, 'Sheed, Mr. Big Shot, Rip, Tayshawn, Dunkin Darvin, the Turkish Tornado, the BIG NASTY and the rest of the 'Goin to Work' Crew was instrumental in upsetting Indiana, and the L.A. Lakers Super Team en route to the 2004 NBA World Championship. I will never forget his time in the D!

Liked Corliss, he was entertaining in college, but not athletic enough for his height to dominate in the pro game. Played hard, and unselfish, seemed to be a great teammate. He needed a lot more lower body strength to really be a 15pt - 20pt scorer. Playing that block was NO JOKE when he played for the Kings and I watched many games were he simply got our played. But again, shout out to Corliss.

WARMACHINE2013 yes, my bad. Some of his best moments were in losses. Would like to see a highlight package of our likely starting QB before the season.
