This is the difference between bein baby'd by mama vs bein trained by a man. He's a freshman. He's a freshman. He's a freshman. And he didn't come in READY for college football. I don't care how he balled out in high school. This aint high school. NCAA D1 Football is next level, and Cormani is still a kid. He needs time to grow and develop into a man. At CU, he's a freshman. To play in the 2023 season, and bounce is just plain stupid. Idc how nobody felt about his playing time. Hype don't mean shit in D1 football. He aint come in READY like Travis Hunter. His body aint ready. He clearly need time to eat right, to lift right, to workout right, to get coached, to study in class, to study film, to learn the game from the PROS at CU, including the GOAT, but all the talkin heads out there done turned this kid against himself and convinced him that he aint bein treated right. This decision of jumpin in the portal after one season is straight foolish. Idc where he goes... it's gonna be a step down, and a step backward; not forward. If he gets the playing time ya'll talkin about right away... he's gonna get hurt. Point blank. Period. He aint built like that yet, and ya'll hurtin his career long-term by thinkin and sayin that THIS is the move. SMH He, his mama, his sister, and anybody else... can all FEEL however they want. They can say whatever they want. They can think whatever they want. The facts will remain. This move is a mistake. Mark my words!!! Travis and other backs at CU gon be lit, and gon get what they came for at CU and beyond. For Cormani... this aint the move. This is how people self-sabotage because GROWTH and maturity and development is uncomfortable. Cormani should have stayed and grown through the discomfort to BECOME the man. I wish him well, but this shit is sad... If Cormani was my son, we would've sat down during the break, and I would've asked him all the reasons WHY he was thinking about transferring. Then I would've told him. "I love you son... but that's some bitch ass mf BS you just said. Now take yo ass back to Boulder and sit yo ass down and learn what you gotta learn before I beat yo ass. You aint goin nowhere!" "You're gonna stay at CU! You're gonna study your ass off! You're gonna be early or on-time everytime! You're gonna eat right! You're gonna sleep right! You're gonna lift! You're gonna workout! You're gonna watch film! And everything Coach Prime & Coach Mathis tell you to do... you're gonna do it with a smile, and when they tell you you're doin it wrong, you're gonna take corrective action and do it right. If they tell you to get low, you're gonna get low! If they tell you to get BIG, you're gonna get BIG! If they tell you to switch feet or to cut or to block, you're gonna do exactly what they say just how they tell you! And you're gonna grind! You're gonna attend class! You're gonna put the work in! You're going to be a leader, and not a follower! You're gonna be the example, like Travis is now, not the joker like you were last season." "And there's gonna be moments you don't like it, there's gonna be moments when you miss your family, there's gonna be moments when you're sore, there's gonna be moments when you don't feel good, and there's gonna be moments when you feel disrespected by coaches and players, BUT YOU'RE GONNA DO WHAT!? YOU'RE GONNA STAY! You're gonna GROW! You're gonna BECOME a top DB in the country, and the top CB in college football. It might take a few seasons, but that's fine, because you're getting PAID more than me and your mama make to play a game. And you're going to get your education from CU, and you're going to graduate, and you're going to BECOME a Top Draft pick in the NFL! How?!? By spending everyday with some of the best to ever do it, and if you think for a minute about quitting or giving up or trying to find a way out of that UNCOMFORTABLE position you're in earning over $510K to be a student athlete... just give Daddy a call. I'll come get yo ass, and you can come to work with me here and forget about football. If you don't wanna play football, you don't have to. You can do anything you want in life. But if you jump in that transfer portal like a little bitch, I'm gonna kick your ass." "Get yo ass back on that plane, and take yo ass to your dorm room and the facilities and get to work! I love ya, and I support ya, but you still got 3 years left on this commitment if you wanna be great." "All that PAIN and DISCOMFORT son... that's called GROWTH. It's called leaving boyhood behind, and becoming a man. You thought Coach Prime was ya mama!?!? You go back and apologize to your Coaches about acting like a little kid, and being young and dumb. You let them know you're committed, you're staying, and you're gonna become a MAN, or ya Daddy is gonna kick yo ass for actin like a lil bitch." THAT'S LOVE! That's the love of a father. Mama can nurture and feel for her baby, but it takes grown ass men to raise boys to become men. Cormani needs THAT; not that weak shit the ladies in his life gon give him right now. As a man, you gon have feelings, but you're FEELINGS don't change your fucking COMMITMENTS. You're gonna be uncomfortable in the Buffs program, far from home, not the HS superstar no more, having to act like a pro at 18 or 19yrs old when you're used to still suckin on yo mamas titties. You're gonna feel bad being criticized by coaches, and especially when the sports media keep your name in they mouth year round. It's gonna be tough. That shit aint easy for nobody. But there is NOBODY better anywhere than the CU Staff, and especially Coach Prime, the Sanders boys, and Trav to help you get thru it. I don't care if he aint get real playing time until 2025... the experience he would have had if he stayed... is fkng priceless. Sad to see the young man go... Hope he finds what he's looking for. MEANWHILE... 2024 Colorado Buffaloes Football Team will be the talk of the sports world with unprecedented success and more wins than most people are predicting. I got them winning 8-10 games, and winning a playoff / bowl game, and sending at least 6 players into the 2025 NFL Draft.

All those young men jumping in the portal after 1 year at Colorado will learn a hard lesson, "the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence"; oftentimes it's a mirage or patches of green grass! Cormani coming out of high school as a 5-star player, not having much playing time his first year at the college level, plus his lack of apparent self-discipline may cause other coaches to look at him with a side-eye. Who willingly & deliberately "gives up" a 5-star player? Cormani and his mama are not owning up to something about Cormani that has him in the place/position he's in now. But, hey, it's his decision; I wish him well.

Well, he won't be going first round! Too much of a problem. For whatever reason, he thinks that he is a top player...he's not. He will be lucky to get picked in the 4th round. He is not going to change most likely. He does not have elite speed or that much weight for the run game. There are other kids coming up that will be better.

What the hell does a mom know what is a good fit for a young man in a power 5 program. He needs strong male figure around him. Cormani decision will haunt him for the rest of his career. Unless he become the top shit down CB wherever he goes, there will be always ??? ‘S
@hjackson16782 ай бұрын
Cormani just wasn't that good. He got beat often on crossing routes, didn't study film, and missed class. Their are corners on team better than him. In few years he should be good.

Prime has an old school mentality, so maybe Dion expectations our too high for some of these players to live up to. So maybe he needs to go to a team that will allow him to just play n get over just like every other player in the system.

You can be an obstacle in your own path. Prior preparation prevents poor performance. ( on your job, at school, home, environment, and sports)

Dude is slow. Like mentally slow. He couldn’t keep up with fast WRs. They would make a move and he would get burnt off the line lol
