Y'all, I have the nutri mill classic and the nutri mill harvest grinders. The harvest has the stones. The classic is the burr grinder. You do not have to use any screens. You adjust the grind for what you want. I grind wheat and corn to make my breads. I grind about 3 cups of corn and keep it in the freezer for my cornbread. I have one of those antique corn shellers if you know anyone that wants one. Love y'all 🥰Warner Robins

Jimmy Red definitely grows taller than 8ft for me. I don't have any planted at the moment, but in the past I'm fairly certain that most of it has ended up in the 10-12 ft. range. It's way taller than the sweet corn, which I find usually stops a bit over 6'. Soil may make a difference. I have a fair amount of clay in my soil, so there's decent holding capacity for moisture and nutrients. I haven't tried the Hickory King, but I suspect the kernels would be larger than Jimmy Red. That would be an issue because I might have trouble feeding it through my flour mill, which is really more for small grains than for corn. I lime treat the corn before storing. The soaking, boiling, then running through the food dehydrator takes a lot of time and energy, but the final product is very clean with improved nutritional value and I don't need to worry about insects so long as it's kept in a sealed container.
