Congratulations Mark. What with The sheep barn roof and the weather it must feel good to have your personal harvest safely brought in. I've enjoyed following your harvest vlogs so thank you for taking the time to produce the videos. I've also watched Sandi's vlogs on the sheep barn roof with horror and genuine real sympathy but with the new roof on and the babies appearing that can also be placed firmly behind you guys. It is a pleasure and an honour to watch a farming family like yours.

Mark , as 2019 comes to a close it will go down as one of the toughest years for farmers . You and Sandi , have been tried , but you made it through it and it’s in your rear view window now . I watch the news here in the US and our Congress is supposedly is going to sign the USMCA trade agreement with Mexico and Canada , this should benefit us all - Economically . I’m so glad you got your harvest in and everything worked out with the roof on sheep barns . I always enjoy your videos , I told you before , I think your farm is beautiful and you are a very smart farmer who puts a lot into his farm , but gets a lot back . Keep up. The great work . Your friend from the USA !

Do you keep every part of the corn stock except roots? Does the combine chop the cobs and stock as you harvest it? The farmers here in Sydenham, Ont leave their corn crops in the fields for the winter as the value to the animals is the same as if they harvested in the fall. Have you been forced to do that on very early snow or heavy snow? This is the second year that their soya beans were left in the fields as well. Cheers
@MarkBrock4 жыл бұрын
We just pull in the cob with the kernels on it still. The plant stays in the field and doesn't go into the combine.

You really need some help even if it it is part time. If you had a place for RV,s to park with utilities then you could have some help from retirees with experience. Some farmers here in the US do it yearly.

I'll bet getting it finished was a major weight off your shoulders and mind. Out of curiosity, how many total acres do you farm? Not meaning to be nosey, but it seems like you do a heck of a lot of them. Another great video. Like watching you and Sandi both. Learning a lot about sheep from her, and about farming from you.
