What little rain we got dried up quick. It kept us out of the fields for 1.5 days so today is only half a day of chopping which gives us a total of 2 full days of chopping. The semi-automatic Freightliner likes to give us the most trouble and it's always random and unexpected. It got hung in gear, but that's nothing new with this truck. It's just extremely frustrating and time-consuming. We also discovered a leak around one of the cylinders so we're thinking we may have a cylinder going out.
Stay tuned...

I'm so glad to see the number of your viewers going up as you certainly deserve it and people need to experience your commentary and what you folks get done on a daily basis, and that's no matter how many hats are thrown!

Dairy Farming is hard work! My family ran a 300 cow dairy that I worked on until 1995. There is always work to be done 365 day per year. Y’all have a little better equipment than we did back in my day. I drove a JD 5400 self propelled chopper made in the 1970’s. I admire and thank y’all for all you do to help feed this Great Country!

Thank you! 1st chopper we ever bought was a 5400, then upgraded to a 5830, and now we run this 7750.

I had 2 auto shifts in Freightliners and I put an extra ground wire from the transmission to the frame per a suggestion from the manufacturer district rep. He told me that the ground was the weakest part of that transmission.

No bug bite. That was just dirt from my dirty hands. Proof that I do, in fact, shower.
