This brings back memories. Especially the dog. Rule one for pregnant farmers wife: dog sits in the cab, there are a few blankets and a thermos of coffee for you in the back. If your water ruptures, it’s easier to clean up. When the truck hauls into the hospital drive, one honk means just get a gurney. Two or more honks, get a doctor (usually the nurse). The baby has been born and there are two freezing humans. First year or two of marriage shakes the romantic fantasies out. First birth sets the next 60 years of marriage up. That was 50 years ago. If farmers are tough, their wives are amazing!

Great job. I love the 5830 it's a great machine. People in my area have gotten away from silage over the years but we stayed with it and now some are wanting to feed it but don't want to grow it so we have started selling it and has worked pretty good. Keep up the good work.

We used to chop 400 acres corn with tandem dump wagons for dairy cattle! Hook and unhook all day long Meijer running gears with heavy tounge's the were self floating the first couple years! We also did high moisture corn put the snapper head on the chopper!

Drone doesn't capture audio! There's some good audio of the chopper going from the GoPro in the rest of the video.

Just subbed from the Great White North (Manitoba CA) yes we have snow, and yes 1/3rd of harvest is still to do, grrrr. love how on the chopper you can see all the 8820 parts ie. cab, front wheels, ladder, screen cleaner etc.

As great as your parody video’s are I think I enjoy the regular farming ones perhaps a tad more, I know you guys have cattle and do wheat & beans but you mentioned you’ve never picked corn before, just chopped off a few hundred acres for silage, how many acres of crops do you guys farm?
@PetersonFarmBros5 жыл бұрын
We farm about 2,000 acres.

No kernal processor?! No way 300hp is cutting 6 rows if u had a processor. We started using ONLY kernal processed silage way back in the 1990s. Cows just shit out the corn otherwise

Is it really necessary to blast us with that noise (music?) at three or four times the volume of your speaking voices?
@PetersonFarmBros5 жыл бұрын
Didn't realize it was so loud. I apologize. I can't take much time to edit during harvest and so I didn't listen through levels. Will do better.
