Did a quick video of our crops including corn and the soybean intercropping.
This corn crop was planted on mothers day, May 10th
So far the crop is looking to be on target to be harvested very late aug or very early Sept.
We did a small plot again this year with the soybean intercropping.
This time we seeded the soybean first, and corn after. I found it did much less damage to the corn.

We currently are getting a heat wave high pressure weather system, and getting highs of 36 degrees here.

Yes, I hire out our planting .. soils where a tad damp and planter had a upgrade to electrical drive plates

It increases the tons per acre by 2-3t but decreases the overall starch

@@PetesFarmingVideos live in Alberta, we grow corn for winter grazing our beef herd. Looking for silage options for next year or the year after. Soybeans seems like a good option, extra tonnage and protien points. Aim for the 12-15 range in our silage. Add barley as needed after.
