Just like the relationship between able- bodied and people with disabilities, able bodied people often distanced themselves not because of prejudice but rather, (what I think is) due to the missing information on how to deal with such situations and not making people with disabilities feel that they are being judged. Not really sure if my comment is relevant, just felt like bringing it up.

It's quite unsettling to see that despite racism and sexism in the general public becoming such a relatively small problem that is hardly worth mentioning, yet in the halls of higher education it has become rampant and often the bigotry is even legally enforced.

i wouldn't say that racism and sexism are a "relatively small problem" in the general public. just take a look at the news and you can see these issues are very much prevalent and billions of people are affected by it each day. racism and sexism are large issues that are always worth talking about because so many people are still impacted by it.

how are they measuring their climate change at the U and is it really better? Do the feel good welcome all or just the under represented? It feels like this social justice experiment is a threat to anyone who says it's full of bull.
