Geez you're so amazing like literally create a mini-community that not only the audiences are fed with the video content, but also got them to share back what they know about a particular effect in AE. Really appreciate it!

Aaah missed this series hearing the intro gave me nostalgia from only a year ago lol. I'm always making little mini UI screens for my illustrations and I always forget some portion of the workflow. Really needed that region of interest/crop comp reminder thank you again as always for this amazing series! Will always come back here for these :D

It has become more robust now and got now how to use unstretch properly and avoid precomping. Thanks for re uploading. I also tried using toComp(value) expression and that worked also without using the transform effect. (I applied toComp(value) expression in start to 4 pin properties of the effect and then adjusted the pins to avoid extra adjustment, then duplicated the effect with expression applied and easily able to stretch or move the layer without transform effect.)

Where would I be without people like you? Never had the pre-compose issue, because I typically will crop the text before exporting from photoshop. This time I brought in a PNG that was surrounded by a lot of blank space. Was doing corner reveal and it wasn't listening to me at all. Kept going all over the place like it was on a completely different axis; was so confused. Thank you!

Tip: the Expansion of the Power Pin is also very useful if you used a blank image with tracking markers on screen instead of tracking the screen corners.

Does CC Power Pin also support motion blur like Corner Pin though? Would be a huge downside if not.

Is there any way to parent a a single corner pin to a null? To allow controlling corners from two separate layers with a single null move.

corner pins always been a bane to me... I never able to get it to good use in great effect...in some cases, when you are trying to move the right corner to the left, it somehow would go to the top or any other places not intended!!

If you upload a video and want to update its content (as you did with the case of Containtain Mayer's comment update), how can you do that to the same video again? wouldn't that mean that you have to delete the old video and reupload the new version? is there a way around that?
@JakeInMotion2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, no. That's exactly what you have to do. KZbin doesn't allow you to replace a video. I deleted the original and re-uploaded.

How do you track four corners?
@JakeInMotion3 жыл бұрын
It's an option of the motion tracker. You have to choose to track position, scale and rotation.

An old doubt I have: why do some effects have the CC before the name and others don’t? That’s way older than Adobe CC!
@JakeInMotion Жыл бұрын
You're right! In this case CC is short for Cycore FX, a third party developer that Adobe has licensed plugins from for after effects. You can look them up for full documentation on all their effects.

anyway to make the pin follow a null on every corner, ty
@JakeInMotion6 ай бұрын
Yes, use Void. It's a free tool from Battle Axe and will create a null layer that acts as a controller for any selected 2d point controls.

@itayozari62523 жыл бұрын
Hey, thank you for the tutorial. I am struggling with a problem while trying to implement that technique (combined with restrize): My goal is to zoom out from the screen to the final shoot. - to do that I am using Null to control the position, scale and rotation (3d). The problem is that when the ״camera״ is close to the implanted image the quality is low. I want to compensate for this by restrize the comp, the problem is that the corner pin effect does not work with it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mGHYiKRpaKiXeNE Do you have any idea how to solve this problem? Thank you
