Sir i just want to ask that in this eg .when you were doing 2 case i.e. p1/p2>1 , then you made the new BL outside the earlier the budget line ..but i made inside the earlier budget line ..so that slope comes out to be 2 (2/1) ..this make budget line steeper ..so is this also fine?

Sir, if utility function is like - U = X^2 + Y then still all of these would be same for this utility function also?

Hello sir, I'm from bihar and currently I am in third part of graduation. I am also preparing for MA entrance exam with economics subject. One of my senior, who was also a student of ecopoint class, has suggested me to see each and every video on your webportal. I had read H.L Ahuja (Micro & Macro) and after that going through blanchard and Nicholson, my query is that even after this I am not able to solve the questions of DSE Entance paper. I thought that I should also join the online ecopoint course, which you have already completed, I think it closed. What should I will do now.

HL Ahuja is not sufficient for DSE entrance, you should follow either Varian or NS. The videos uploaded on the website are basic videos. Now for the course, yes, it is March, even the batch that started in Jan, has undoubtedly gone ahead. You may have some more questions, you can call us.

One small doubt sir.. Why doesn't the Lagrangian method work here?

Kishan, if you use Lagrange in concave preferences, although tangency will be there, but that will be a min Utility rather than a maximum utility. You just have to ask, given the utility what is the highest IC, so you will simply get that IC where utility is max at corner, in case of concave preferences. See in the recording, I would have discussed that
